i'm trying to use this via WPI. it installs great, but tells me that media center only runs on a valid MCE install. is there a registry workaround for this? Or a way to do the hive trick after XP is installed?

Yeh open the package and delete the mp10.exe file and hotfixes (Updates1 folder) and delete the syntax to install it from install.cmd. Then repack addon.

thanks orbit! :) just 1 more quick Q ... is this the same that was uploaded before in 3 parts? if so i asked then about product key being asked if i'd use this on a legal xp pro os ... and posted was that it wouldn't ... kel i recall had a similar comment about it ... now, wouldn't this be kind of illegal? anyways, please know that your work is appreciated ... thanks again ...

thanks ambidav! how'd you do it? was it through nLite that you used all 4 parts sequentially (part 1 then part 2 ...) via addons? i tried extracting the files 1 by 1 & was expecting it to come out in 4 parts but it prompted me every time to overwrite existing file. i also tested the archives via 7-zip & it was good for part 1 but not parts 2 to 4.
