Need some advice on ISP

Hey guys/girls.
Need some help My ISP, which is BT is playing me and my mum about with everything, so I'm looking to go on Virgin. but i can't get Fiber optic. But i can get there National Service. They say i can get up-to-20MB downlaod speeds.
I'm hoping to hear if there service is any good?
Just wanted to see if they are any good cause BT are right :censored: LOL

I wish I could help you out but our main ISP here is Comcast for the fastest speed, then AT&T (DSL) and Earthlink which sucks. LOL. There is dialup but no need to swear. LOL.

20mb, OMFG that would be nice but it's not like you will ever see that. I have like 14 down and 2 up and I only see 800-1.2mb DL and 100-145 UL with Comcast.

I have Virgin cable (not fiber) and it's awesome! I get 1.2MB/sec download rates at best.
I have the 10MB connection.

OMFG! Ok it took a long time to load a small file...
Damn now I should be happy with what i've got!

LoL don't remind me with the dial up

sometimes i have to use it

and man :confused02: it's not a very cool thing

what do you think when you download with 7-9 kb/s

You could always give Eclipse Internet a try I've been using them for a few years now without any problems. The only gripe I have is their fair usage of 50Gb download a month, but this only applies between the hours of 9am and 11pm, after that all downloads are not monitored.

DSL speeds depend on line quality/distance. Mine sucks. I always recommend cable.

I had a look at that ISP and my mum said nah so we are going with virgin.
