404 Error when editing topic test

I think I figure out the problem why this is happening

It happens when you change the tittle of a thread in full edit mode, the changes you make to the tittle make its way into the URL giving you a 404 error until you go back and re-submit the changed topic with tittle the URL is not valid/recognized

Example try editing this topic tittle adding "test" to the name and try to save the changes (pay attention to the URL it now has test but the forum does not recognize it)

Also this new forum URL that is used breaks certain topics because the author has since updated it, giving you a page not found error

what is happenning is when a topic is changed the board reprocesses the link with an extra "/" hence 404 error

notice when you update a thread topic the 404 error will occur because the link is wrong.

an extra "/" is added before the word "topic" in the link

this has been happenning for quite some time now actually.

WOW!!! you are 100% right, and if you dont go back and fix it the link will remain broken for ALL

So I guess this is a feature rather than a bug :)

New version of the forum software is already in the beta stage. Looks and works much much better than this one ;)

the bug that we have been discussing in this thread seems to have been fixed with the forum upgrade today

thanks N1K
