If your windows 8 release preview is hanging many times, Then upgrade your NVIDIA Driver to latest 302.80

UPDATE:

Microsoft has released an update via Windows Update fixing this issue.

Thanks for the info, i experience lots of hangs but my graphics card is AMD :(

EDIT: There was an update for my graphics card, updated it and hopefully it will be much better. I'm betting the problem is with the default driver installed.

try ati catalyst 9.00-12061a its fully windows 8 comatible.windows 8 runs slick on these.you can find the on guru3d.com in forums section.

Some other possible solutions is to install Hyper-V via 'Turn Windows features on or off' and also go to network drivers properties > Advanced > Disable 'Green Energy'
