Can Microsoft’s big week get bigger? Two days after unveiling the enticing new Surface tablets, Microsoft is in San Francisco today for a Windows Phone Summit which the company says will feature “a sneak peek of the future of Windows Phone.”
The speculation is that today’s the day for Microsoft to unveil Windows Phone 8. The event is targeted at developers, but with Surface tablets possibly raising consumer interest in Microsoft’s Metro interface, the company is trying to get its mobile products in the best shape possible before Windows 8 launches on desktops and tablets.
Windows Phone 8, code-named "Apollo," is likely to enable more integration between phones and desktops.
