Intel has just announced a brand new i9-9900KS processor today. This is a special edition processor which is similar to the Core i9-9900K processor but can boost up to 5Ghz.

Technically, the new i9-9000KS has a base frequency of 4.0 GHz and has the same integrated graphics as the Core i9-9900K processor.

The main difference from the Core i9-9900K lies in the core turbo value, which in other words is just a 300Mhz increase from its predecessor.

The price of the new i9-9900K is yet to be announced.

Interestingly, earlier today AMD has presented its 3rd generation of Ryzen processors featuring 12-cores. According to AMD, Ryzen processors aimed at desktop machines offer better performance than Intel for half of the price.

As the battle for the processor throne is heating up in 2019, the customers will be the ones who’ll decide which processor to buy.
