Microsoft has recently introduced a new Microsoft 365 Backup Service, a flexible solution where customers could pay for the service as they use it. This service should protect businesses against data loss caused by ransomware attacks, accidental deletion, or corruption.

Microsoft’s 365 Roadmap site indicates that the Microsoft 365 Backup Service offers automatic backup support for OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange Online apps. This feature allows businesses to quickly and effortlessly recover lost data during a data loss incident.

This service is customizable to various organization needs, no matter its size, and is accessible through a pay-as-you-go model. This makes it a cost-effective and versatile choice for ensuring the protection of important company data.

Starting in December, the service will be made available, and pricing will depend on the amount of storage used.

It’s worth saying that Microsoft has been prioritizing backup solutions more seriously this year. The company has been testing a new backup application for general users of Windows 11 in its insider channels. This standalone application should simplify the process of backing up files, settings, and applications.
