<p>Because of the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, Microsoft and Google will pause updates for their popular browsers Edge an Chrome.</p>

<p>The Chrome team will, therefore, skip the release v81 for Chrome by leaving it in the beta channel.</p>
<p>Microsoft Edge browser which follows the releases of Chromium engine also plans to stick with Chromium 80 for some time. The current stable channel for Edge is v80.0.361.66 while the beta channel version 81.0.416.28 will be postponed for the stable release.</p>
