Microsoft begins to roll out Tabs support in Notepad app

<p>Microsoft has started deploying an update to Notepad v 11&period;2212&period;33&period;0 for Windows 11 to Windows Insiders in the Dev channel&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"alignnone size-full wp-image-4885" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;wincert&period;net&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2023&sol;01&sol;notepad&lowbar;multiple&lowbar;tabs&period;png" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"1195" height&equals;"997" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The latest Notepad update features long-awaited support for multiple tabs which was a top requested feature from the Microsoft community&period; Notepad tabs will allow users to organize multiple files in a single Notepad window&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Users will also be able to work with files across multiple windows by dragging tabs out into their own windows&comma; similar to handling tabs in the Microsoft Edge browser&period; You will also be able to customize whether the supported files will open in a new tab or a new window by default&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The company also introduced a new set of keyboard shortcuts for managing tabs and several improvements for managing unsaved files&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Considering this is still a beta version&comma; please be aware that you might encounter issues with some keyboard shortcuts along with slower performance&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Microsoft will also continue to optimize performance to ensure Notepad meets high standards of performance&comma; compatibility&comma; and reliability&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
