Many Windows 11 2022 update flaws are still bugging some users. Another issue has emerged along with already reported Remote Desktop user issues and several confirmed safeguard holds preventing the update cases.
This time, provisioning packages are failing to work when used with the latest update. Microsoft has confirmed this issue after users posted many reports on Microsoft community pages and other forums.
According to Microsoft’s statement, using provisioning packages on Windows 11 version 22H2 might not work as expected as Windows might only be partially configured and the Out of Box experience might not finish completely or can end unexpectedly.
The packages in question are the .PPKG files that are used for configuring new devices for business or school use. This issue is still under investigation by Microsoft and provisioning packages that are applied during the initial setup will probably be affected by the problem. Nevertheless, it’s worth saying that Provisioning Windows devices using Windows Autopilot is still safe for this issue.
As the fix is not available at this point, affected users are recommended to provision Windows devices before upgrading to Windows 11 22H2. This should prevent the issue, Microsoft suggested.
