Microsoft is rolling out Kids Mode for its Edge browser

Microsoft has just rolled out a new Kids Mode for its Chromium-Edge browser Canary channel. With the Kids Mode, the Edge browser should become more attractive to children between the age of 5-12. The new Kids mode should keep your kids safe on the Internet and allow them to visit only sites that have been approved.

Once this new mode is enabled, Edge applies unique themes for children and turns on Bing SafeSearch. All sites are blocked by default except those marked as kids-friendly by Microsoft. Parents can additionally whitelist sites that are considered safe. The new mode will be accessible from the profile selection menu and will be configurable using Family settings in the Edge browser.

Microsoft should provide more information about the new Kids mode should be available soon.
