<p>Microsoft has postponed the release of the latest major Windows 10 v1803 version due to a recently discovered bug. The latest version, known as v1803 (Spring Creators Update) was planned to be released to the public on April 10 along with April&#8217;s Patch Tuesday.</p>

<p>It appears that Windows Insiders managed to find a bug in the &#8220;last minute&#8221; before this major Windows version has reached general availability. Because of the huge internal testing criteria, Microsoft has decided that this bug is a &#8220;showstopper&#8221; and thus have prolonged the release date.</p>
<p>It is still unknown when this update will be released. It should become available in the next couple of weeks.</p>
<p>Along with the new update, Microsoft has formally ended the support for Windows 10 version 1607, also known as the Anniversary Update for Home and Pro users. Version 1607 reached the end of service on April 10, 2018. This means that devices running Windows 10 Home or Pro editions will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates that contain protection from the latest security threats. In order to continue receiving security updates and stay protected, Microsoft recommends updating to the latest version of Windows 10 OS.</p>
<p>Windows 10 Education editions will continue to receive updates until October 9, 2018, while long-term servicing channels will continue to receive updates until October 2026.</p>
