Microsoft stops supporting IE for Microsoft 365 services

<p>Microsoft has today confirmed that its Microsoft 365 applications and services will no longer support the Internet Explorer 11 browser&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"alignnone size-full wp-image-4312" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;wincert&period;net&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2021&sol;08&sol;microsoft-4417275&lowbar;640&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"640" height&equals;"291" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This does not mean that Microsoft 365 services will instantly stop working with IE11&comma; but users may experience the degraded performance as Microsoft plans to phase out the end of support in the coming weeks or even months&period; The company will also use banners to alert its customers about upcoming changes like application or service disconnections or redirections&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Initial degraded experiences have started on August 17&comma; 2021&comma; and include the following&colon;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Outlook Web App&colon; Users logging in with AAD accounts will have the full experience but will not receive new features&period; Users who are logging in with Microsoft Accounts &lpar;MSA&rpar; will now be redirected to the Outlook Web App Light experience&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>SharePoint’s Open with Explorer and View in File Explorer in IE11 features&colon;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>These features only exist in IE11 and even though some customers might still use them&comma; they will remain in maintenance mode without further development&period; Microsoft highly recommends switching to Microsoft Edge and OneDrive Sync for a better user experience&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>So&comma; in order to continue using Microsoft 365 applications and services without degradations&comma; <span style&equals;"text-decoration&colon; underline&semi;">Microsoft recommends using Microsoft Edge or other supporter browsers<&sol;span>&period; Even though Microsoft 365 has stopped support for the IE11 browser&comma; the IE11 desktop application will still remain supported until June 15&comma; 2022&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
