Microsoft is constantly working on improving its popular collaboration tool “Teams”. The company will soon add new animated backgrounds to the app in its latest update.

This is the largest background update since the launch of the original background collection back in 2020. The new collection should replace the messy room look with colorfully idyllic scenes.
Initially, a large collection of still images should already be active, while animated versions will come in June.
In a blog post today, Microsoft said that all-new images and reimagined visual library for Teams have been thoughtfully designed to represent the people who’re using them and how they work best.
According to the popularity of certain backgrounds, Microsoft noticed that its customers are equally satisfied with fun and imaginative scenes just as they are with realistic spaces like a workspace, office, or home.
Currently, there are six categories of backgrounds for Teams including wood and light, colorful clouds or mountains.
The new background is launching today for all 300 million monthly Microsoft Teams users.
