Microsoft urges Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11

<p>Once again Microsoft is urging Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11&comma; and it appears that now they&&num;8217&semi;re doing it more forcefully&period; Microsoft started displaying full-screen advertisements for Windows 11 to some Windows 10 users&comma; especially when they installed optional updates from January 2024 on their Windows 10 PCs&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"alignnone size-full wp-image-2659" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;wincert&period;net&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2018&sol;07&sol;windows&lowbar;10&lowbar;wall&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"640" height&equals;"400" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Microsoft is taking an aggressive approach&comma; not just with small pop-ups but full-screen ads covering the entire display&period; Additionally&comma; users have to navigate through several sliders&period; There are four slides in total that users must click through if they want to stick with Windows 10&period; In these slides&comma; Microsoft highlights various benefits of Windows 11 but doesn&&num;8217&semi;t emphasize potential issues&comma; such as hardware incompatibility&comma; that might arise during the upgrade&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In the bottom right corner of the slider&comma; there are two buttons&period; One allows users to decline the upgrade&comma; while the other one&comma; highlighted in color&comma; initiates the download of Windows 11 in the background&period; Microsoft is attracting users with the promise that they can revert to Windows 10 within ten days of upgrading to Windows 11&comma; with the assurance that all existing files will be retained during the process&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Microsoft&&num;8217&semi;s strong push for Windows 11 promotion is most probably caused by data from Statcounter&comma; which shows that 66&period;45 percent of all analyzed Windows computers currently run Windows 10&comma; with only 27&period;82 percent running Windows 11&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Microsoft will stop providing updates for Windows 10 on October 14&comma; 2025&period; However&comma; users will be able to continue using Windows 10 and receiving security updates with the &&num;8220&semi;Extended Security Updates&&num;8221&semi; program&comma; which is available to consumers and ensures secure usage of Windows 10 until 2028&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
