The latest build of Windows 10 for Fast and Slow ring insiders brought a redesigned interface with a new and improved look of the Groove Music.

Change log:

Simplified app navigation makes it easier to find recently played music, and has albums, artists, and songs grouped under My Music.

For clarity, the name of Your Groove has changed to Recommended.

Minor fixes and improvements.

Please note that not all features are available in all markets.

Even with this update, the Groove application is still missing crucial features from Windows Media Player.

You still cannot send music to a networked receiver or speakers, or even add music to current playlist from a Windows right-click context menu.

Groove Music also has issues with managing large music collections since those consume plenty of CPU time.

Based on mentioned facts, there’s still a lot of work to be done with the Groove Music if Microsoft wants to completely retire Windows Media Player.
