Stellars’ Exchange Recovery Software review

We’re looking at highly recommended Exchange Recovery Software from Stellar that is used to recover dismounted, corrupt, and offline Exchange EDB files. This software can recover all mailbox items including emails, attachments, contact, calendars, notes, tasks, journals, and public folders.

Stellars’ Exchange Recovery Software can be downloaded for free from the official website. Installation is quick and straightforward and the free trial allows you to scan and preview recoverable mailboxes. It’s worth mentioning that this software does not require an Exchange Server to run as it can run on any Windows PC.

After the initial run, you’ll be able to select the EDB file for the recovery with two scan modes: Quick and Extensive. It’s advisable for the first run to use the Quick scan as in most cases this will be sufficient to scan and repair the corrupt EDB file. The quick scan of a 500MB EDB file should be completed in 10-15 seconds, while the Extensive scan should be completed in about a minute.

An extensive scan should be used in the case of serious file corruption to get the best possible results.

After the scan completes you’ll be able to preview all mailboxes in the left pane. After you have found the mailbox or any other part of it to recover you can save it as PST, but also MSG, EML, HTML RTF, and PDF. Along with local export options you are also able to directly export the file to Live Exchange and Office 365 servers.

After the recovery is completed you will be presented with the scan and recovery competition dialog box and that’s it!
