Windows 10 April 2018 update freezes Google Chrome

<p>After the release of Windows 10 April 2018 update&comma; users started reporting issues with Google Chrome browser&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Apparently&comma; Google Chrome browser is freezing up for many users&comma; but Microsoft has confirmed the issue and the fix should be included in the next Tuesday update on May 8th&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Along with Google Chrome freezing issues&comma; some users reported Windows 10 lock-ups&period; During the Windows 10 lock-up&comma; the system becomes unresponsive and won&&num;8217&semi;t respond to any keystrokes&comma; not even CTRL-ALT-DEL command&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The system can only be restarted using the restart button or it can be put into a sleep mode and once woken it will become responsive again&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Microsoft has replied to post in the Microsoft forum and said that the problem might also happen with &&num;8220&semi;Hey Cortana&&num;8221&semi; prompts&period; Microsoft recommends the following steps without the need to force reset or put the computer to sleep mode&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote><p>Try a Windows key sequence to wake the screen&period; If you have a keyboard connected&comma; simultaneously press the Windows logo key &plus; Ctrl &plus; Shift &plus; B&period; If you’re on a tablet&comma; simultaneously press both the volume-up and volume-down buttons&comma; three times within 2 seconds&period; If Windows is responsive&comma; a short beep will sound and the screen will blink or dim while Windows attempts to refresh the screen&period;<&sol;p><&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>Some users also reported that updating <strong>Google Chrome to the latest stable version &lpar;66&period;x&rpar;<&sol;strong> has fixed this issues for them&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
