<p>Microsoft has begun rolling out the Windows 11 2024 Update (version 24H2), but it might take some time to reach everyone. <p>Unlike previous updates, the Windows 11 2024 Update is not restricted to specific devices. All compatible PCs will receive it eventually, though Copilot+ PC owners will be the first to explore the new features. Microsoft aims for a widespread release by the end of 2024.</p>
<p>If you want to be an early adopter, you can expedite the process by ensuring your PC is updated to Windows 11 22H2 or 23H2. Next, go to your Settings, head to Windows Update, and toggle the option to “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available.” This will signal to Microsoft that you want to receive the 24H2 update immediately.</p>
<p>This update is more than just a small tweak—Microsoft describes it as a “full operating system swap.” The installation could take longer than usual, so it&#8217;s best to run it when you don&#8217;t need your PC for a while.</p>
<p>Microsoft will monitor for issues like software incompatibilities and may temporarily hold back the update on some systems. However, all eligible PCs will eventually get the update, regardless of the hardware inside, as long as they meet the basic system requirements. As Microsoft continues the rollout, users can expect a smoother experience based on reliability and performance.</p>
