Greetings everyone, its been a while having this problem so to describe it : when i try installing windows 8 by USB (created by Windows7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool) i got after booting some kind of message telling that "no found supported drivers ..." something like that (because i've got the message in french : french iso of windows 8) and i cant continue further than this..., but when i burn the image of windows 8 into DVD the installation works fine, so to come to my question whats the problem causing this kind of situation and the insane thing is the installation works fine with dvd and not by USB?? anyone here have the same situation ? is there any solution of this kind…

Hi... I tried restart Explorer from batch file with this command: taskkill /F /IM explorer.exestart explorer.exeExplorer close well, but start only file explorer, not desktop... I have been searching for an update pack for Windows 8.1 but I just found two (I think) and they are only german. I installed one, the WinFuture one, but I just clicked blindly until it started to load and I just dont like this. I would like that it could be integrated on the DVD image too. Im searching for something like simplix.

Does anybody know approximately how much space the non-enterprise version of Windows 8 takes up after being installed. In other words, is the disk footprint larger or smaller than the 26-32GB that Windows 7 takes up before apps are installed.

Hi, iam still using Windows 7 Installation over PXE and i tried the same with Windows 8. Iam Booting a plain WinPE over PXE that mounts a network share with the Installation files. With Windows 7 that all works amazing well for me but with Windows 8 i get the following after some progress of installing Windows 8: The source of the installation files is a fresh iso that works if burned to a dvd. Took three attempts, finally got it installed; but not in the location I wanted. Terrible; desktop is crap, no classic - do not want Aero or any theme; had no clue as to how to shutdown or reboot - had to use reset button to get back to XP Pro. I WOULD NOT recommend this 'new' OS to anyone. MY 'original' C:\ drive, as seen from XP and Win7 was no longer visible - Win8 had reset things so it was now on C:\ - could not locate 'original' C:\; which is a real bummer as it has all the downloaded programs for installation on XP, Win7 and/or Win8. Anyone have any ideas as to how I get make a my own desktop.desktop?

In June a beta version, probably at the end of the year the RTM I like that the new feature of booting directly into desktop, and also IE11 will be in-built. Looks like Microsoft is (slowly) moving in the right direction after all.

Hi, i installed win8 pro, i turn on adsl modem but local area connection is limited always and with yellow exclamation on task-bar.sometimes it connect to the Internet about 30 second and then yellow exclamation is revert back. i disabled ipv6 with this command but still dont work. netsh interface ipv6 6to4 set state disabled netsh interface teredo set state disabled. is there anyway to fix this? this is a ipconfig.all that windows genereted. Is there a way to install Windows 8 from a DVD instead of from the frekin' Backup on 16gb I had to make 2 times when we buyed 2 computers. With Windows 7 which I have I can download a windows iso and use the serial I have. With these two win8 computers there is no serial sticker, I guess it's embedded in the BIOS. In fact we could not even install 8.1 update because it didn't accept our serials (I found the serials with a program) and 8.1 update needed that to continue. Our win8 computers is: HP Pavilion G6 (daughters laptop) and Acer Aspire X600 (girlfriends desktop) I don't actually want to use those backups. When I try to integrate language package and then I install Windows with this LP, Windows Updates finds update KB2919355 (size cca 700MB). This update (KB2919355) doesn't show when installing in english. Can you please help me? Thank you very much.
