  3. Started by NIM,

Dear visitors of WinCert.net Due to a constant problems with a semi-dedi server, we were urged to move our site onto a better server. This server is much more expensive than a semi-dedi one with the price of 90$/month. We are kindly asking you to donate if you can, to help and keep this site running. As usual, I'm also asking you to test the forum and report any issues you may experience in this topic. We also would like to know if you're satisfied with the forum speed, compared to our previous server. Welcome back and thanks for your patience during the downtime. WinCert.net Administration Team.

Dear members and guests, in the next several days we might upgrade our board to a new, completely redesigned, recoded and restyled version of our forum software. During the upgrade we might encounter problems, so we kindly ask you to be patient until the upgrade is successfully finished. We're also considering a new frontpage and the forum look, but in that case, we would hold the upgrade until the new skin would be finished. Regards, Nik

Due to a large spammer activity on the forums who apparently managed to "hack" gmail's registration process, since they were all registered with gmail, using some random letters, we had to block new registrations using GMail account. Kind regards, WinCert Admin Team.

Dear members and guest of WinCert.net, in the last two days Wincert.net was offline due to a security breach on our hosting server. During that time our site was offline while our host was investigating this issue. Unfortunately, we have a backup that is one week old, so all new member accounts and posts that were created during the past week are lost. Hopefully, we'll get on track very quick and will forget this incident. I'm also inviting members which have lost their accounts to register again. Please accept our sincere apologies for this server downtime. If you experience any issues please let us know. Kind regards, WinCert.net Administration Team

  13. Started by NIM,

Dear members, We're closing down Wincert download manager and also decreasing the limit for uploads. Why? Because we had a short downtime yesterday since we passed the 43 gigs of daily limit LOL.. I mean WTF? 43 Gigs for only one day Of course we still have our own un metered FTP server where we can upload/download at will. Here's the message from my host: Your account has been temporarily suspended for crossing the daily limit. You have used 43002.63 MB today. EDIT: LOL, I thought we exceeded the limit with 4,3 Gigs, but that's wrong, we exceeded it with 43 Gigs in one day Thanks for understanding. WinCert.net Admin team

Well, we really don't have luck.. We've change our hosting provider to get away from the hacker that has targeted us for some unknown reason. Now, when we've settled with our new host, a new problem. After I've discovered that I can't access I tried to ping it by an IP address and I was able to ping it successfully. So that was obviously a DNS problem. I've reported this issue to our host and I got fast reply after several minutes.. Hi, I have checked and found that the DNS zone file was missing that has been setup now. Please allow sometime for DNS propagation and your site will start loading fine. - But, how on earth did that file got removed/deleted??? So, if you see…

Dear guests and members, as you can see I'm currently working on our board color adjustments and changes. I would like your opinions and recommendations written here so we can find the best look that would fit for most of the people, since whatever I do, there is no way to satisfy everyone What is done so far: -changed the board index forum markers icons -changed the board index, forums navigation and post view fonts -changed the hyperlinks color and hypelinks hover color -changed the background of the forum -changed the post icons - I'm already aware that these new icons are hardly readable and I'll see what I can do.. We can discuss what you like or dislike in these ch…

Dear members and guests of WinCert.net, if you want to help WinCert.net with its expenses, you can do that now by using MoneyBookers.com service. The only catch is that you have to add funds to Money Bookers from your credit card or bank account. Once your funds are added to your money bookers account, you can simply transfer your funds to my account, using my mail address (which I can send you in PM if you'd interested in donating), similar to paypal. Since most of you already know, Croatia can't receive funds trough paypal so I was forced to found an alternate solution for receiving funds. Fees at moneybookers are very small, to be precise 1%. Thanks to Kels we tried t…

Dear members, I'd like to narrow down our forum structure and I was thinking about moving Tutorials Section to the frontpage. I would create different tutorials categories on the frontpage so all of you who are interested in this could also be involved. What do you think about this and is any of you interested in doing various tutorials for the frontpage? Cheers.

Dear all, as I wanted to improve our rank in the search engines, along with giving us better experience with browsing the forums and searching what we need, I've decided to implement SEO for IPB, or in long Search Engine Optimization! More can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_optimization The installation itself was a 3 step process. 1. I've uploaded all of the files from "upload" folder to my server preserving the folder structure. 2. I've installed CommunitySEO module as I was instructed to (Sucesfully installed) After that I've browsed a bit in admin cp and was checking the SEO options and possibilities, not touching anything yet.. 3. I've edite…

Dear members, visitors, guests and spiders I thank you for being patient in the last couple of days where we experienced huge problems with our site. As you may know, we were using shared hosting provider and after only couple of weeks WinCert managed to make a CPU overload which resulted in automatic suspension of our account. We appeal them to bring back our site online which they did, but after only one day, we did another CPU overload. Therefore we found ourselves blocked again without any hope to get the site back online. We started to search for a VPS, semi-dedicated or low end dedicated server up to 100$ a month. After some research we decided to go with a semi-de…
