Windows ISO Downloader crashing.

So this is the problem. I download and run the Windows ISO Downloader , version is up to date (6.02) . Whenever I pick any other windows option besides windows 7 , the tool greys out and crashes.

I have went through the FAQ's and I do not have the lines in the HOSTS file that should be removed, I disabled adblock when downloading, I have turned off firewall , I do not have an antivirus program installed. TLS 1.2 is enabled. I started the tool as administrator and have IE 11 and .NET framework 4.7.1 installed

I miss the downloads for Windows 10...notice 8 is gone too

Hello,

Not sure how to upload 2 ISO files, but these are unmodified installer ISO files for both versions of 8.1 in 64 bit.

Any idea how I upload a laRGE ISO to this site?

I may have asked Jan about this at one time and he might have emailed me back (in 2019 but that email was lost).

The window should be resizable so that it can be extended full screen if desired.

The way it is now 2 sections of the window must be scrolled (one on both axes).

Jan's program is/was and will be again the only safe way to get old ISOs.

Apps hang when the win 8, 10 button is selected.

Apps hangs when win 8, 10 is selected.

While these works:

Microsoft office buttons works and continues to download prompt

Win 7 works and a prompt for pull out by Microsoft is displayed.

All other selection icons works, forum, ISO etc.

One thing though, I do not have net framework 4. But since it is working with other selections, I presume it is not mandatory in order to download Win 10 or 11

Hello everyone, I just thought of making a simple guide or rather sharing my personal experience of performing a clean install on Win7 on my HP laptop after reading several threads on here.

Laptop: HP Pavilion DV6-6050ee (2011)

OS: Win7 Home Premium x64

So basically I lost the recovery partition or rather it must have gotten corrupted because the factory restore option got grayed out in the recovery menu. I did not have any recovery media either. So after a lot of reading the next step for me was to Download Win7 Home Premium SP1 x64 retail iso and then update it using the SimplixUpdater.

I got the Win7 iso from Digital River on Archive.org, replaced my original HDD with an SSD (crucial BX500), installed Win7 HomePrem SP1 x64 and updated it using SimplixUpdatePack. Also got the drivers updated using Drivebooster and some from the HP product page which could not be installed by Drivebooster. I have kept the windows update turned off, will update using Simplix whenever necessary. Also Windows was activated without any issues using the COA key at the bottom of the laptop which is what I was always concerned about. So this clears my doubt that you can use a retail copy of windows and activate it using the COA key, you dont specifically need to have the recovery image or COEM copy which is what I was searching for frantically before.

Laptop has got a new lease at life. Its now feels unbelievably fast when compared to booting from the HDD and with all the HP bloatware that it came with.

I have recently got my hands on a Refurbished Dell Latitude 5400 which has got Win10 on it. I am looking for a similar process to perform on this as well. Surprisingly it feels slower than my HP laptop. Its got i5-8365U, 16gigs of ram, nonbranded ssd.

Win 7 / Office 2010: Monthly Download Days starting October 1 (experimental)

This will probably be the last chance to get Windows 7 and Office 2010 downloads, before Microsoft drops support for these products in early 2020.

Starting October 1, 0:00 UTC, the download database on the server will be reset on the first day of every month. We will then generate one link per hour on a first come first served basis, whatever is requested, until all licenses are used up. The database is then again reset on the first day of the following month, and downloads can be provided again for some time.

Requesting a download can result in one of the four following cases:

1. A license for link generation of the requested file is currently available, and the last link generation on the server has happened more than an hour ago ---> new link generation will be attempted, and if successful, the download can be provided.

2. The requested download has been requested and generated in the last 24 hours ---> cached download link will be provided (cached downloads are indicated with a green font in the download tool).

3. All licenses for the product have been used up ---> come back and try again next month after the database reset.

4. A license for link generation of the requested file is currently available, however, the server did another link generation for a different product in the last hour ---> come back and try again in one hour, and be faster than everyone else.

I will think about error messages so that you guys can distinguish between cases 3. and 4. easily. Let's see how this will go. Hopefully everyone can still get all downloads they need before MS takes them down for good...

White background issue with ISO downloader

Hello,

I am running version 8.46.0.164 of the Windows ISO downloader on fully updated Windows 11 Pro.

If I click on Windows 7 or Dell for example the tool works as expected.

If however I click on Windows 8.1, 10, Insider Preview, Developer or New Editions the background just becomes white (see attached screenshot).

Looking at the FAQs for similar issues it is suggested the Hosts File, Adblockers, TLS1.2 turned off etc might cause issues. My Hosts File isn't modified, I turned of my Adblocker and TLS1.2 is enabled.

Is anyone able to help please?

When you click on windows the screen just shows blank. no windows version is displayed. if you click on dell you get those displayed. all the others display except windows 10

what is the fix for this.

i have tried on 3 different computer and even used a hotspot to rule out firewall rules
