Well, the thing is i'm trying to properly install AIMP2 to my windows. Everything is going well till now, the only thing i lack is that AIMP needs to be Run once in order to run correctly. It associates all the file extensions now, as i want it to do but... it doesn't open files unless i manually open it once. After that, it works flawlessly for all users. I've tried running aimp and closing it using tskill but the thing is once i run the command, it waits for aimp to be closed. "%programfiles%\AIMP2\AIMP2.exe" tskill AIMP2 /a "%programfiles%\K-Lite Codec Pack\Media Player Classic\mplayerc.exe" tskill mplayerc /a It doesn't run line 2 unless one closes aimp2.exe and tha…

Windows Vista has an animated Vista Logo what is displayed before the Login screen. You can do a similar thing in WinXP. Just download the required BMP file After you downloaded the file open regedit and goto: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop In the right-side panel change the Wallpaper String value to the Path of the downloaded BMP file. e.g.: If you saved the BMP file to "C:\Startup.bmp", you have to set the Wallpaper value to C:\Startup.bmp. If you saved the BMP file to D:\Startup.bmp you have to set the value to D:\Startup.bmp :icon_rolleyes: Now you'll get a similar Vista Logo before your Login screen in XP too. Enjoy

Hey, is there anybody out there who knows if it is possible to make these 3 Vista (like) Move, Copy and Delete AVI's for XP into a smaller size? Download Move.avi (3.48 MB) Copy.avi (2.01 MB) Delete.avi (2.93 MB) The reason I need them to be a little smaller is when I add them to XP's shell32.dll they cause a error (user32.dll relocated in memory bla bla) This is caused by shell32.dll being too big, so to fix it I would need them to be compressed to AVI a tad better So if anybody can take them and recode them (even if it only shrinks them a few kilobites) I would be grateful

i guess the generic name would be 'file upload' box? one example is when i go to imageshack and hit 'browse' button to upload an image http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/9059/sdsdsdsdaj9.jpg the box pops up. i'm asking in this part of the forum b/c i'd like to somehow change the size of this box by default. its not that important, but its a little annoying. i'm guessing maybe with some reg entry ? it would be nice if windows would scale that box in relation to the size of the monitor..

We all have been enjoying desktop threads a lot, now is the time to do something different. If one is skilled then art can be created out of clutter of desktop icons also. It has been made possible by the users of Gizmodo. These artworks are made of desktop folders and different icons: How you can make one: Clean up your desktop. Get an empty folder (or a set of folders in different colors,) document icons, or whatever other thing is around your desktop. Don't get big documents, as you will need to duplicate them to create your image. Third, deactivate automatic snap-to-grid in the view desktop options in Windows or Mac OS X. Optionally, load an image in the background t…

Hi. Anybody know how can I convert those green animations of copy, move and delete animations to blue for XP, just like the ones on Aero Diamond from Mr. R0UNDER (Link). I tried to reshack them in the Aero Diamond theme but with no luck, I guess they will appear only when using Vista, wich I don't like, hehe. I just would like to match my whole blue desktop. Thanks.

hey i know theres tons and tons of aero like msstyles for xp, however i have made up one of my own. it is called samkov's vista and i am going to release it very soon as a rc2 to the public, however id liek to put some news up about it first, to see if anyone here thinks its worth downloading. Basically it started out as the panther theme for xp, idk who made it but i got it somewhere along time ago, a few months later i started getting into msstyle editing and created a theme called limewire, that was a package gone bad and i eventually dropped it and started doing a vista look alike, which included many peoples work combined, aswell as quite a bit of my own personal wo…
