Seems like a very reasonable request if people want the installer updated :prop:
If somebody wants this updated, they can help by downloading ALL languages of the x86 and x64 installers and zip them for me (that is the part I hate)
-
I'm curious.... did you contribute?
I have no plans to continue maintaning this installer
then you could remove the contribution also

I think that's a great idea, additionally if their is a closed thread or pointer in each of the WIN7 and WIN8 threads to the new location this would be a great way to really make the tool easy to find.
Exactly you should move to the main page rather than under 2 os sub forums that way its:

How dumb of me I keep forgetting that 3.* is included with WIN7 and not part of Rick's pack... thanks for the wakeup
Of course, they are for .NET 3.5.1 as we can read in the description.

FYI WU just showed these on my new test install using the 4.5.3 installer

I haven't been around much due to many personal and business reasons but after reading this I wanted to let anyone that is interested know that I have used Rick to help me with quite a few enterprise deployments for my clients and he has always been super reliable and an absolute pro at what he does... in fact I wish I could keep him busy enough to keep him working for just me anyone can feel free to contact me if they have questions.

Thanks for all this work!!!

Your on a roll... congratulations
-
I will try it sometime tomorrow
Can people please test the latest test build. The RunOnce installer has had an upgrade in regard to threading and updates are installed separately. Also when you select/load a DVD in WIM Manager a sample install.ini is created in the sources folder to be used with the RunOnce.
Thanks.

Rick... are you saying that we don't need to add this to WIN7 x86/x64?
-
That's a drag but I understand so thanks... I am using other features

Update: Well this has been a LOT more of a challenge than I thought... unfortunately I ran into issues with every tool and every method I tried. Some, like the office update problem I had took me almost a week to work out... so the bottom line is this is going very slow for me. In the interim I have been working more and more with KUC, DISM and now sysprep. When I start to make sense of this all I will report back.... didn't want people to think I forgot :type:
-
Lego... just wondering if your latest tests versions addressed this by any chance?
-
The magnitudes of those improvements are unreal...
-
WOW that's more than IMPRESSIVE its the Holy Grail :dribble:

Good Luck :prop:

Security Update for Microsoft Silverlight (KB2932677)
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42250&WT.mc_id=rss_security_updates
Is there a current installer that includes the updates?
-
I am under some pressure to get some new integration's done so I downloaded a copy of WinToolkit_1.4.29 and tried that with my SFX compilation using a baseline image that included RDP8.0/8.1... the install ran correctly and the installer did not start early nor did any installs run at the same time. I did still get the shutdown string problem but I will need to run numerous integration's with the newest WinToolKIt versions before I can be sure about the whole shutdown command issue

In order to not confuse things I created a bug report and will continue my updates and findings in this post:

Rather than retype and duplicate the posts I will point to my reports:
