  1. i noticed the CMD Prompt problem testing W7T 1.0.3 Alpha 21, in Virtualbox's last version.

i'm not 100% sure it was Ok with previous builds.

    thx again :-)

have some rest too !! :-)

i know that RT7 Lite is veeeery old now, and is not really good compared to the actual W7T, that's a fact :-)

but i like the removal options it offers (components, screensavers, gadgets, ...) and also the 'customize' options.

Yeah we are missing these features in W7 Toolkit, Hope lego will try to add these features in next build or 1.4.0

  2. Firstly, which version of W7T are you using?

W7T can remove components but im not sure what RT7Lite does in regarding of removing stuff so can't really answer that question. In v1.4.0 i will be investing a lot of my time working with the components removal to remove language files, and make it a bit more like vLite.

That is what we call good news. Awesome Tool but does this mean that 1.3.21 alpha is the last version and you are about to start v1.4.0.................Did you ever take rest???. Waiting for your next release.

@@ Tealc:- Please don't compare this nice tool with Scrap Rt7 lite, it's a junk software with no updates from last one year. This tool is having releases almost every alternate days, Rt7 lite offers too many features like To set a default theme, Screensaver, Gadgets, Preset Tweaks, but it has also many problems after making the build with Rt7 lite there are always error of windeploy.exe and also corrupts the files. I am happy with W7 Toolkit. Keep up the good work Lego :dancing:

  3. Hi, @Legolash2o

I've got the below error message in "All in One Tool" -> "Add Addons" section of W7T130-20A!

    All addons give same error:

    ---------------------------

    ERROR

    ---------------------------

W7T could not locate the tasks.txt file, this addon may be corrupt!

    [...:\Themes\Reapers_Microsoft_Brazil_Theme_Windows7_AddOn.WA]

    --------------------------

    or,

    ---------------------------

    ERROR

    ---------------------------

W7T could not locate the tasks.txt file, this addon may be corrupt!

    [...:\addon\7-Zip_9.22_x86_Windows7_AddOn.WA]

    ---------------------------

    etc...

The same error i have mentioned in Post 148, but not fixed yet

  4. With this version of W7T 1.3.0.19a, I am having consistent errors and an occasional "lock up" of the whole program. The couple of times I have had the 'lock up', I have started the process and then started playing a game. Later when I have come back, the program is stuck somewhere (once in the updates section) and does nothing. I have let it set for a good hour and it never moved off of what it was doing.

    As for the errors,

The type of the value object did not match the specified RegistryValueKind or the object could not be properly converted.
    Reg: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    Key WIM_System\ControlSet001\Control\PriorityControl
    Reg: Win32PrioritySeperation
    Value: 4294967295

It has done this to me twice in the same process and then the resulting image comes out as being corrupted. I have tried the entire process three times in a row. This did not appear to have happened with the previous alpha (1.3.0.18a).

Below is the screenshot of the error and my settings file.

I also agree with him i am also facing many problems with this build especially integrating addons and updates, it also says cannot create "Registry.txt". The main problem is all addons says task file not found and the same addons are working with the last build, also with this build some tweaks are also not applied.

  5. Another couple of "bugs" for you Legolash2o.

The second issue involves the "Tweaks" tab in that the IE homepage defaults to 'http://www.google.co.uk'. I would like to set it to 'about:blank' but the program does not seem to like that setting. Even when loading from the settings file, it still defaults to the google page.

if you want to set it as blank page tthen in tweaks when it ask for homepage ust type "about:blank" without quotes this will be taken by W7 Toolkit and if you want you can also do by this registry.

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]

    "Start Page"="about:blank"

Already i have posted more tweaks (i hope if "Lego" will like them then it can be added in next release), From the below link you can find more tweaks for Internet explorer.

    http://www.wincert.n...ernet-explorer/

  6. Just thought i'd release v16, didn't have time to release it before because of work.

    *Tweak:GPU Rendering

Didn't understand as it is the default setting (By default this unchecked, and if we checked it, then it means we are use software rendering instead of gpu acceleration). Please clear me what tweak you have used. Please let me know what registries you have used.

To speed up performance, Internet Explorer 9 uses the power of your computer's graphics processor, also known as a GPU, to handle graphics-heavy tasks like video streaming or online gaming. By tapping into the GPU, Internet Explorer 9 delivers a faster and more immersive web experience.

We should use GPU rendering, which means our graphics card will be used to render the pages you visit. By using the GPU, pages will be rendered faster than if software is used instead.

GPU rendering is one of the new features for IE 9, one that can really improve the snapiness of page display.

So i think there is no need of this tweak as it is by default

or you tweak will force to enable the gpu mode for the below scenario

Some outdated video cards/chips and video drivers do not support GPU hardware acceleration. If Internet Explorer 9 determines that your current video card/chip or video driver does not support GPU hardware acceleration, Internet Explorer 9 uses Software Rendering mode (off).

If GPU hardware acceleration is turned off, then you may experience slow performance when you browse a webpage using Internet Explorer 9.

I think you mave have tweaked it so we can be able to use GPU Acceleration feature of IE9 even our computer is using old VGA Card GPU.

  7. I'm running x64 too but for some reason the files aint SP1 but i will list them anyway :)

    UnattendProvider.dll

    WimProvider.dll

Good luck and thanks, i found them easily for x86 but x64 is being a pain :P

Please find the below attachment for x64 version 6.1.7601.17514. Have a good time

I am having these files and the version you mentioned.

  9. I think this can be added in W7 Toolkit as in Windows 7 Automatically Expand to Current Folder option is disabled

Below registry will enable it, and now if you go to any folder in navigation pane it will automatically expand to current folder

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]

    "NavPaneExpandToCurrentFolder"=dword:00000001

  10. The changes to the size, view, icon or position of a folder are lost on a computer that is running Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.

For example, you may experience one or more of the following issues:

Microsoft Windows does not remember the View settings for a folder when you reopen the folder.

Note The View settings include Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List, Details, and so on.

Windows does not remember the size or the position of a folder window when you reopen the folder.

An incorrect thumbnail image is displayed for a folder.

The thumbnail image does not appear for a folder.

Note This issue may occur in Windows XP or in Windows Vista even if you select the Remember each folder's view settings check box under the Advanced settings menu on the View tab of Folder Options in Control Panel.

This issue occurs because the registry settings for folder options are incorrect.

To fix this problem, reset the registry settings for folders. To do this, follow the appropriate steps for your operating system:

    Windows 7 or Vista

    Delete the following registry subkeys:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags

For x64-based versions of Windows Vista or Windows 7, delete the following registry subkeys:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU

    Re-create the following registry subkeys:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags

For x64-based versions of Windows Vista or Windows 7, re-create the following registry subkeys:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU

Create and then set the BagMRU Size registry value to 5000 in the registry subkeys that you created in Step 2.

  11. Hi,Legolash2o

Can you explain how to integrate IE9?

IE9 is an.exe file. W7 Toolkit sees .msu files, but it does not see IE9 with.exe files. Therefore, cannot add IE9 in update section?

    For 32 bit Windows 7

Copy contents of your Windows 7 SP1 DVD to C:\Seven

Download the IE9 32 bit installer in exe format

Rename the downloaded file to I9.exe

Paste this code into a textfile and save as integrate.bat. Execute it as administrator.

This script will integrate IE9 into all images of your windows 7 32bit dvd (you need IE9-Windows7-x86-xxx.exe)

    @echo off

    cls

    mkdir C:\WIM

    C:\IE9.exe /x:C:\IE9

    erase /F /Q "C:\IE9\IE9_SUPPORT.CAB"

    dism /Mount-Wim /WimFile:C:\seven\sources\install.wim /index:5 /MountDir:C:\WIM

I would love to be in W7toolkit,

I will add some more tweaks if you agree to add in W7Toolkit which will be helpful to make our os more powerful.

  14. Windows 7 still uses the

32 bit version of 'Windows Media Player' even though you run a x64 build of Windows 7, there is however a way to change this and there are som advantages by doing so, among others you will be able to use your 64 bit video codecs instead of 32 bit, so you will be able to use your 64 processor.

By switching to WMP x64, users just need to install one instance of codecs (just x64 version) to playback various media files in WMC and WMP.

Follow the tutorial by clicking read more. This is how you do!

    Run Registry Editor (RegEdit).

Take ownership and grant full control of registry keys listed below to unlock the registry keys:

    HKLM\Software\CLASSES\CLSID\{cdc32574-7521-4124-90c3-8d5605a34933}\LocalServer32

    HKLM\Software\CLASSES\CLSID\{45597c98-80f6-4549-84ff-752cf55e2d29}\LocalServer32

    HKLM\Software\CLASSES\CLSID\{ed1d0fdf-4414-470a-a56d-cfb68623fc58}\LocalServer32

Open a Elevated command prompt as administrator and type the following command.

Write "unregmp2.exe /SwapTo:64" without the quotes and make sure to write capital letters in capital, this command is case sensitive!

Open the Windows 7 registry (Windows button + r, write regedit and enter)

    Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\wmplayer.exe\

    Double click the "Path value".

Change the value "%ProgramFiles(x86)" to "%ProgramFiles%"

    Exit from Registry Editor.

Copy and paste the following code into a text editor, and save it as a file name with .reg extension.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{45597c98-80f6-4549-84ff-752cf55e2d29}\LocalServer32]

Run the registry registration file to merge the value into system.

Unpin and remove the original Windows Media Player x86 shortcut from Windows 7 Taskbar, or else two WMP icons or buttons will be found on the Taskbar. To pin 64-bit WMP icon or button to Taskbar, right click the Windows Media Player x64 on Start Menu and select Pin to Taskbar.

Alternatively, just download the following 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Media Player 12 Switcher zip package, which contains all the necessary files to easily set either 64-bit WMP as default, or revert back to 32-bit WMP as default player.

Unpack the whole content into a same folder, and open a command prompt with administrator’s rights, and run Set_WMP_x64.cmd to set WMP x64 as default media player. Likewise, run Set_WMP_x86.cmd to revert and reset back to WMP x86 as default media player.

NOTE: After changing the default Media Player to x64, remove the media player shortcut from the taskbar, start media player via the start menu and then re-pin it. If you don’t do this you will see 2 WMP icons on your taskbar.

  15. 1) you can add a option to choose which themes want to keep? or a option to remove architecture, characters, landscapes, nature, scenes themes and keep only the default windows 7 theme? 2) you can add new themes. a option to choose which theme be the default would be super. 3) option to remove all screensavers

I n addition to these we should be able to set default gadgets and autostart of Gadgets in first login
