Also i've noticed there is a lot of unfinished requests in the requests forum so i'm not sure if i should leave the extensive work to the component removal to v1.5.0 instead, what do you guys think?
Fine by me, especially if this means including more tweaks in 1.4.0

laddanator, sorry, I don't understand your problem

With the new Full method, W7T follows the two steps described by ricktendo here - copies the unattended.xml file both to boot.wim (index 2) and also to the root of the dvd file

Edited the previous two posts, and I continue the list with the following very useful tweaks:
9. Disable the Send unique player ID through WMP feature - security/privacy reasons - the only tweak found out to be needed for my system by the well-known TuneUp Utilities 2012 tool
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences]
"SendUserGUID"=hex:0010. Disable Open File Security Warning - this is quite original, and really working - tested it, the warning is gone. Changed from LowRiskFileTypes to ModRiskFileTypes - hope the security will be better with Mod than with Low.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments]
"SaveZoneInformation"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations]
"ModRiskFileTypes"=".avi;.bat;.com;.cmd;.exe;.htm;.html;.mpg;.mpeg;.mov;.mp3;.msi;.m3u;.rar;.reg;.txt;.vbs;.wav;.zip;"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments]
"SaveZoneInformation"=-
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations]
"ModRiskFileTypes"=- -

A valuable info on language packs - they integrate ONLY in Ultimate and Enterprise versions of windows 7. More here. Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium and Professional DON'T support language packs. Maybe this info is useful now...

I'm using SFXMaker 1.3.0 Beta and I don't understand where to put that config.txt. Maybe the classic way of making svcpack installers is ok? Smth like...

Since yumeyao apparently has retired, I want to use your addon also for xp. However, I have one question...
/ain - Quiet mode, no user input required or output shown. *Full* Client and Extended packages are installed and 'ngen executequeueditems' is also run. (Fixes slow XP boot, may take considerably *longer*)Can you make a switch in your future release that installs ONLY the Client version, and also runs ngen? Thanks.

What happens if both tweaks run at the same time?
Actually I haven't tryed them both at the same time, but since the Core Parking tweak is done by a Microsoft hotfix, then aplying it again is useless. Please write something in the description about this subject.

If you tell me which update supersedes it then sure

KB2581464 was superseded (for the moment) by KB2496290 (v2).

Holy Heaven of all tweakers, now THAT'S A REG FILE! :doh: CurrentControlSet appears only 12 times. :cold: You should call it smth like ''Tweakers from all over the globe, UNITE!''
Seriously, some of them tweaks inside that .reg file can't work since they aren't written corecly. Also check to see what they do first, before integrating. It's toooo much!

Not me. But I do however use tweaks... maybe those tweaks make changes to the registry...
Question though: when you tested the two addons and got a BSOD, did you also integrated tweaks / imported reg files? If not, then I don't see why you're asking about that CurrentControlSet, from what you've said I only understand that W7T integrated those addons on their own, but had problems with both of them...
-
Both of those addons integrate just fine with build 84. I haven't tryed them on their own (yet), but if I was to put my money on one of those it would be Whatinstartup. Hopefully you'll figure this bug out without me testing them on their own... sorry but I'm fed up with installing windows (in the past 5 days probably I've done it for ~15-20 times). Maybe in a couple of days.

-
It can also be any previously imported registry tweaks too

Not for me. Only addons are making windows installer go bananas. 100^% sure (in my case, of course).
I only use two addons - Unlocker x64 and Whatinstartup x64. Also 7 Home Premium SP1 x64.

Actually, I tested it and still got the same BSOD with build 96.
Can anyone else confirm/infirm?LE: Remember, it's related to addons. If you don't integrate addons in your custom build of windows, you won't get this kind of BSOD at the second phase of windows installation process.
-
I've made Legolash aware of this issue yesterday. It's generated 100% by addon integration. I spent alot of time actually trying to figure out the cause.
For the moment please do not integrate addons in your custom build, or integrate them with an older build - here is v84. Anything else can be integrated with build 95, except addons, with no BSOD-like feature.

Hopefully in v96 this will be fixed.

Before you close this thread, I bring to your attention (regarding build .95)...
1. At the system tweak Disable CPU Parking please insert in the description that KB2646060 (included in SoLor's pack) is actually Microsoft's implementation of this tweak, so both tweaks shouldn't be run simultaneously

2. I once again ask you to include in the description of the system tweak Improve USB storage devices Performance something like - Take note that KB2581464 has been superseded, so if you integrate the latest version of SoLor's pack, KB2581464 isn't needed.

3. In the AIO options, at the Silent Installer category, the size for W7T Installer background you say it's 500x400, but that's not true

Windows 7 Toolkit v1.3.0

Cool. From that thread it also seems that DISM also include ImageX functions, making it obsolete. Hope that somehow Windows 8 DISM can be installed in windows 7 on top of the pre-installed DISM.
And yes, since soon windows 8 beta will become publicly available, maybe Legolash will have time to look into this option, and investigate if the advantages are worth the trouble
LE:
Cool!
