  1. Hey Liam :)

Yea I have created this thread, that everybody can post here their Win8.x Tweaks wishes.

In my case I think it would be very awesome if WTK2 has more Win8.x support.

I really miss some Tweaks and standard-reg-tweaks they all known.

The reg-tweaks i know and wish:

    - Install Take Ownership

    - Disable Windows Script Host

    - Disable Hibernate

    - Disable IPv6 Complete

    - Disable Libaries Feature

    - Truecrypt Direct PW Prompt

(.regs can all found by google)

And some that i didnt found yet:

    - Set Notepad Settings

    - Disable Win8 Desktop Moving

    - Disable Paging Complete

    - Disable Windows Backup

    (...)

    For first, done.

    Greetz :)

  2. Result:

    C:\Windows\system32>dism.exe /Image:C:\Mount /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentClean
    up /ResetBase

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 6.3.9600.17031

    Image Version: 6.3.9600.17031

    Error: 0x800f0806

The operation could not be completed due to pending operations.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

    C:\Windows\system32>

    How to fix? Any tips??

  4. I have absolute dunno about this tool, lol.

But i would suggest you to use WinWoolKit to integrate just the drivers.

Extract the 7z and add with WTK to integrate them into your system.

Large Packs you can just extract into folder named "drivers" in root of ISO/Install-Disk.

Then rebuild the image with WTK to get a sweet driver-installer, runs after installation.

  5. Hey Liam,

Im missing to managing the order to install updates in update-installer.

Would be nice to have this feature, and off course also in v2.x ;)

Can be realized with buttons and right-click stuff like in AIO-Intgr.

    Update:

The same way for "retry after failed" for update-installer. ;)

  6. Yea i have (and had) the same problem.

Its very ridiculous that ntfs dont support UEFI, btw.

My solution is to split these mega wim, into one-by-one wim with just ONE image.

For example i would split x64/x86 and Win7/Win8 to different ISO-images.

Or you create a multi-boot-disk that start the choosen install-wim with one image.

Exist different solutions for multiboot, just google it, here is a mount-iso-thing:

    http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/162640-install-all-windows-install-isos-from-1-multiboot-usb-drive/

Another thing is to reduce the image-size by removing/paging unneeded stuff.

P.S. If you are interested, you can also install from a >4Gb install.wim under UEFI by using a FAT32+NTFS USb stick. It is easy to set this up!

Interesting, i think you mean to split the USB-Stick into 2 partitions or? Anybody experience with that stuff?

To install windows 8 in UEFI with a file over 4GB is simple, you just need two usb sticks, first one FAT32 with all windows setup files on it except install.wim, second NTFS with all windows setup files including over 4gb install.wim, boot from the FAT32 one,and when you are prompted to press the big INSTALL button, swap the stick with the NTFS one, simple and noob friendly :),just make sure you have the windows setup files on a FAT32 stick to boot into UEFI,then swap and install from the NTFS stick.

That can also work, but in my case its a no-go  - chaotic stick handling...

Yea official clean solution is needed....

  7. Yea,

I think the update-retriever can merging with update-installer and including another function: checking.

Means to check system (online or offline - mounted-system) for superseded or missing updates.

All the existing functions applicable on mounted systems to completed managing the updates.

Yea that would be very awesome. :)

  8. Heyho, :)

Me liking the driver installer of WTK, and the the request is a memory on it.

It would be nice to upgrade the driver-installer (/uninstaller) to a completed driver-manager.

Often i use a function from other tools to backup the system-used drivers into 7z/SFX-Installer.

But all tools they i know can just backup all loaded and disconnected drivers, but not really ALL.

Means to BackUp all drivers (inclusive microsofts) they exist in the system-directory since installation.

A tool that i can suggest and have the first option (BackUp loaded and disconnected drivers) is:

    Driver Genius: (http://www.driver-soft.com/)

Still missing the second one: BackUp all.

Also missing to applicable on mounted-image (offline).

Would be very awesome the driver-manager can it all then. :)

    Greez

  9. Yeah thanks thats very good. :)

Next days i research again for applicable on customized systems.

At the moment i can use it on untouched and online image, not yet offline. :/

On online image reducing that over 300 MB junk.

That would be awesome to make same possible on offline.

Maybe some pros here know a way?

In most of case the developers at MDL-Forums. :)

  10. Here more information:

    http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/12500-msp-extractor-extract-just-selected-languages/

    Heyho Liam, :)

In memory at WHD, i missing the feature to extract updates for a language, choosen by user.

Means glb-updates (exe) extract just the x-none (msp) and the updates in language (msp) which is selected

    Example:

You choose en-us for selection, all other updates (msp) for other languages will removed.

MSP Extractor filtering all x-none (msp) and en-us-updates (msp)  for you, all other wil removed.

Off cause no filtering on proofing-updates. (keep proof for every language)

In my case, i would wish also selecting-option for 2 languages at the same time

Means you can select 2 different languages and convert all glb-updates (exes) and keep all x-none (language neutral msps), en-us (first language msps) and de-de (second language msps), and proof for every language (proofing msps).

    Greez

    (Update/More Detail)

    Thank you much! :)

  12. Yea,

    System: Win8.1.1 en-us with german (de-de)-LP integrated x64

I have still keep these lp-updates in my repo, i really need all of them for IE11?

    IE11-Windows6.1-LanguagePack-x64-de-de
    IE-Hyphenation-de
    IE-Spelling-de

    Thank you for tips.
