If the difference in noise just began when you updated to Win7, it could also be a power preference setting
difference.
Cheers and Regards
I suspect power preference setting may be the cause. It happend after installing WIN7.
Thanks for the advice.

Have replaced on my TOSHIBA laptop U205 (5 years old) OS from Vista to WIN 7 home premium 32-bit, as well as hard disk to solid state drive 120GB OCZ Agility 3. So far good results, runs fast but FAN DEVELOPS STRONG SPIINING NOISE in stand-still mode or sporadically on and off.
What could be the reason?

Thanks to all of you for comments and advice. Hope to post results within few days.
By the way you can tell if it's 32 or 64 bit by the name of files. For 32 bit
that will contain 'x86' and for 64 that will be 'x64'. So I think that
site: http://www.wincert.n...ows-7-sp1-disk/ should help to sort out things.

NOW that you have a license for Windows 7 go to here:
http://www.wincert.n...ows-7-sp1-disk/
And grab yourself an english iso. This will save you a ton of time...
Thank you for the tip. Will it work with my 32-bit version?
