abbodi1406 reacted to bphlpt in Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7This was made using Rick's hep and guidance. AFAIK, the essential difference is this is an addon while Rick's is a silent installer. Once installed, the results should be the same.
Cheers and Regards

abbodi1406 got a reaction from RicaNeaga in (IMPORTANT) Please move by default to the silent areaNote:
Not to mention its enormous size, KB947821 should not be used offline at all (integrated or silent install), it's ment only for verifying Online system Updates and Packages

abbodi1406 reacted to mooms in IE11 needs prerequisite KB2726535 ?@Lego: If you move IE and all the related updates/addons to the end of the integration process, you should not worry about prerequisites.
That's the smartest and simplest way , because months after months, more and more updates will be superseded and because of this the list of prerequisites will be constantly changing.
Win Toolkit 1.4.1.27 does not recognize IE11 cabs and let me integrate them at the end: that works beautifully !
Because an image worth thousand words:

abbodi1406 got a reaction from clarkg888 in IE11 needs prerequisite KB2726535 ?KB2726535 is superseded by KB2768486 & KB2905454
The IE11 prerequisites components of KB2726535 is superseded by KB2768486, and KB2905454 completes the supersedence
so, KB2768486 becomes the new prerequisite instead of KB2533623 & KB2731771
BTW, those KB article are not accurate, if you want to see the actual or complete list of prerequisites check SETUPDOWNLOADLIST.txt that is included with IE11.exe package (after you extract it)

abbodi1406 reacted to bphlpt in Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7@crashfly, I think you might be a little confused. abbodi1406 DID create his own thread, this one, about his own 'self created "add-on"', which he made with help and advice from Ricktendo, and abbodi1406 is not the one having problems with it, mattew is. Did you think that this was one of Ricks's threads, either this one or this one? They are all named very similarly so it would be an easy mistake to make. I have almost made the same mistake myself. You are correct that Rick makes silent installers, which I personally prefer, but, though I haven't used this one myself, I believe that abbodi1406's entry is an addon, at least it is named as one and Rick did not dispute that designation. And in this three page thread no one else has disputed it either.
Cheers and Regards

abbodi1406 reacted to crashfly in Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7My apologies on that bphlpt. I got a little exuberant on people complaining about stuff in the wrong thread. That and I jumped all over the wrong person.
Apologies to abbodi1406.
As for mattew, he should post in the appropriate thread (or create his own). In that post he should include more information about what he was trying to do.

abbodi1406 got a reaction from Lions in Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7Description:
The .NET Framework is a popular development platform for building apps for Windows, Windows Store, Windows Phone, Windows Server, and Windows Azure. The .NET Framework platform includes the C# and Visual Basic programming languages, the common language runtime, and an extensive class library. read more.
Info: The .NET package will be slipstreamed as pre-installed
OS: Windows 7 SP1
Notes:
- The addon will conflict with some Windows Updates (.NET 3.5 Family), so leave the addon's integration to the last.
- Add main addon first before LangPack addon, to get ASP.NET service localization properly.
- To function properly, .NET 4.7.x require D3DCompiler_47.dll component, which is found in either the current "Monthly Quality Rollup" or "update KB4019990". It is recommended to integrate it first, or you can install it later.

abbodi1406 reacted to ricktendo in Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7If you dont want to use the INTL and want to add ONLY the PTB LP
- Uncompress the dotNetFx45_Full_x86_x64_Slim.exe installer
- Uncompress/add dotNetFx45LP_Full_x86_x64pt-BR_Slim.7z to the same place you extracted the slim installer
- Recompress everything with 7zip
- Download the Intl SFX maker (replace the config.txt with this one I edited specially for pt-BR)
- Drag & drop your 7z file with the Slim and LP installers on drag&drop_7z_on_me.bat to recreate the executable

abbodi1406 reacted to PointZero in KUC ServerHi everybody, my first post here.. I came here looking for the Win Toolkit and saw this thread. Just thought I'd add some info: all the updates on komm's server are still there- they're just not visible, since he had to limit bandwidth usage several months ago. Bandwidth usage had a huge spike and his ISP wanted to charge him a ridiculous amount monthly. He then hid all the updates so only his KUC utility would have access to them. He is still actively updating KUC and maintaining the updates on the server, but new releases for KUC had to be limited to once a month due to time contraints from more important activities IRL.
Unless someone can offer him server access where he wouldn't have to worry about bandwidth usage, I think the updates on his server will remain hidden, so his server might as well be removed as an option to download from.
