  2. I didn't copy to there and it works for me. The instructions were "(Exit Sidebar and Copy to Windows Sidebar Folder)" and that's where I copied it to. The drawback is that you lose the Windows Sidebar tasktray icon.

Okay, well, I copied to the Alky libraries folder and it worked. But, the systray icon disappears like you said.

  3. I think Alky for Applications 1.1 is about 90% done (from what Rafael has said to me)

He said the games are almost done, just need a few tweaks

The uninstall gadgets has been fixed for awhile now

All he needs to do is figure out why 6001.17xxx Sidebars are not working (they crash under the current build)

P.S. Alky for Apps and that DirectX 10 deal have nothing to do with the other, two separate things

I didn't know the uninstall gadgets has been fixed for a while. Could you tell me how, please?

  4. Yeah, that happens to me. For some reason, it can't be removed. It removes the main files but leaves behind the language folder and the gadgets. And no, I have not found a way to remove gadgets accept to delete them from the folder. :-/ By the way, I've already invited you on gmail. You should've gotten an invitation from tqm397@gmail.com

  5. Yeah, that's what the gadget installer's supposed to do. It doesn't extract the gadget files to the shared folder and it imports the gadget right into the sidebar. I've only found another gadget installed that installs gadgets like Windows Sidebar in Vista does. It extracts gadgets right into the shared folder. I'll upload the Gadget Extractor and I'll give you the link to it as the original uploader's webpage is now dead... I'll give you link later (If RickTendo64 allows me to use a diff. gadget installer)

  6. I'm getting a "Media Center only works on Windows XP Media Center Edition" error using Windows XP Professional. any help?

Yes, I have a friend that got this working and I think I have the problem resolved. Firstly, you have to boot up with PE or a boot disk and change the registry key. Secondly, the Rollup2 update INCLUDED in the addon fails to install correctly so don't install that. Thirdly, go to Windows Update on MS website and check for MCE Updates.

  7. Hey RickTendo64, I really like your Windows Sidebar Addon. I just have one tiny problem. When I use the Weather Gadget (Not iWeather, the one made by Microsoft), it doesn't exactly keep track of the weather. Last night, it was about 41 Degrees F. and when I logged onto my compupter this morning it said that tomorrow is Wednesday and it's still 41 Degrees F. Why isn't it like, working? I had to relocate my State and City for it to be the weather right now. Can you explain what this problem is or should I be using the iWeather gadget instead?
