Actually, only 5 KB are needed to be masked (in the maker kit, in telemetry.vbs file, you can now delete KB2952664 that is now included in Monthly cumulative Rollup) :
hideupdates(0) = "KB3021917"
hideupdates(1) = "KB3068708"
hideupdates(2) = "KB3080149"
hideupdates(3) = "KB3150513" --> hiding this ones will disable all W10 related updates
hideupdates(4) = "KB976932" --> add this one when you don't want to integrate KB2533552I'll check for IE11 KB4483187 at next patch tuesday.
excellent. using your example what number goes in the dim hideupdates ()

hello
ok I did it over with "proper" telemetry file. Dont know if that was the reason for not having any initial updates.
I received 5 new updates mrt, defender def, 4041083, 4049016, 3185319.

I just made a _64 home premium iso. on first boot in VM it said windows is up to date. I then did a manual check and it's STILL no updates. I have never seen that before!!
not that I am complaining but what happened to at least MRT and defender definitions? I checked and defender definitions are from 2010 inside the defender program. I had to manually DL the file from $M and install it.
deep clean>>>2534111, 2685811, 2685813.
i forgot to change the dimupdates to 6 as per thiersee (i have 7 update files and left the # as 7) in the telemetry file but that should not concern this issue of having no updates.

thiersee, i figured it out, but now I have 0-6 updates (which is 7). what number belongs in the Dim hideupdates(6)?

It is already on page 1 Hide Telemetry/W10 KB script Maker 08 oct 2018
If you unpack the archive you get a readme.txt too.
1) No, it doesn't.
2) Yes, still in the silent section.
thiersee thx for reply. I was waiting for someone because I have wtk open and ready to make iso. i read the tuto and it shows 4490628 in the first position also saying to make sure they are in the right place especially 4490628. confusing!
lastly i downloaded the telemetry maker but forgot how to get a telemetry.exe file from it. still trying, sorry!

would it be possible to put a link to download the latest telemetry file on page 1 where the ul's and tutorials are (unless its somewhere else and I don't see it). Takes me awhile to figure out how to edit the darn thing.
does it matter where the new pre-req, kb4490628 goes (order) in the pre-req list. wtk places it 3rd.
does kb4099950 still go in the silent section?

Just have a look to the picture from @rhahgleuhargh !
Prerequisite: only 3 KBs, KB4490628 instead of KB3020369 (put KB4490628 manually in the prerequisite!).
Advanced-tab: 0, it means KB3177467 not necessary anymore!
yup got it, easy peasy.

Hello,
ULs mises à jour.
Attention, pour l'intégration, il faut déplacer manuellement KB4490268 dans la section Prerequisite !
ULs updated. Be carefull, if you use WTK to integrate updates, you need to move manually KB4490268 into Prerequisite section !
are there any other MAJOR changes. I don't have my notes. I think i used 3 pre-requisites in the past. Are there now 4 or is kb4490268 a replacement for one of the old ones? also any new kb's go into the silent section? I use the Convenience method..x64

hello
I'm in Florida, been following the march update posts. I can't test or do anything till the May updates when I return home.
Just want to know if I (we) contact lego to make an update to WTK to possibly take care of these issues will that work for us? Or is this just to be done manually?
regards and thank you for all your work...

Hello,
Happy New Year 2019 to all!
ULs updated. Changelog :
Security Monthly Quality Rollup: KB4480970 replaces KB4471318. At the moment, the cumulative update IE11 KB4483187 is still requested by WU although normally replaced. To check later if it is still required, I leave it in the list until further notice.
DNF3.5.1: KB4480063 replaces KB4470641
No update in conventional method seems replaced.
Happy New Year...Much appreciated...

No I do not think so, it's a tweak I've been using for years, and the bug only appeared recently.
mooms, think hard if you are using any new software, or any other changes you may have made to the host computer, RECENTLY. I installed cryptoprevent software that protects against the cryptolocker virus. I had its protection 1 higher protection level than default. I could not install a piece of software for 3 weeks and could not figure it out. Then I remembered the cryptoprevent program that I started using months prior. Since its invisible, runs in the background, I forgot all about it. I changed the protection to default (which is what I use now) and that problem software installed easily.
I hadn't used that crypto software in awhile. I just started using it again because I got hit with a variation of the cryptolocker virus. Worse virus I've ever encountered. I have my main HD and 2 clones in my case. This virus spreads to the backup clones also. it encrypts all docs, jpgs, mp3, pdf's and holds them for ransom. For some reason it also encrypted my entire wintoolkit folder with all the files I use to make the iso. That was a killer. I also have 45gb of family pics, irreplaceable! There is no known cure or decryption key. I luckily also clone my main drive to an external (if you dont disconnect it from usb it will also spread to the external. I heard it will also spread to the cloud but not sure on that, because I dont use the cloud.) After I clone to the external (about every 3 weeks) I disconnect from usb and store it in my desk drawer.
I thought my defender definition problem was related to the fact that I am using cryptoprevent again, RECENTLY. I disabled it but apparently that's not the cause...

no its kb915597. as of today the definition file is 1.281.414.0
if you google microsoft security portal choose the hit that says get the latest definitions. on that page are all the security definitions for different versions of windows.

thanks rhahgleuhargh. It's a relief to know its not my installation. I can now stop testing and wasting time. There must be a way to alert M$ of this problem?
In the meantime I will continue to incorporate the mpas-fe.exe file in the iso and place it on the desktop.

Still no progress on why defender definitions no longer work through WU. I DL a file named MPAS-FE.exe which are the defender definitions file and have it placed on the desktop via WTK. If I execute this file it will update the definitions as of the date of that file. Till this issue is resolved I will have to update in this fashion so WU no longer will ask for defender definitions files. I don't know what happens when definitions are to be updated again, which is frequently. If before I execute that file and try to update via defender itself, that also gives an error and will not update. I tried different scenarios of making the iso including NO tweaks to NO silents except kb4099950, NFW and telemetry. Will report back if and when resolved.
ps...while googling this issue many others have also had it. Some said it was MS and they fixed the server...

I just uncheck or hide them after WU analyze.
I have experimented for a few hours as this is very time consuming. From what I discovered through my testing and googling the issue I would think the issue is with getting defender updates through the WUD service. There is a M$ website (security portal) where you can DL the latest definitions as per your OS. When executing that file it works silently, no progress bar etc. starting defender shows that it has the latest update (that site updates daily) and a subsequent WUD check for updates no longer lists defender as an important update.
I'm very surprised no one else has come across this issue. Seems like a WU issue, not our installation(s).

[14 janvier 2020] Update list GDR pour Windows 7 SP1 x86/x64 (Fr-En-De-Es-It)
in Windows Vista, Windows 7, et Windows 8.x
Posted
mooms thx for the list.
Hey I didn't write this small little script (telemetry) but why would its creator have a number ((dim hideupdates (4)) that is 1 LESS than the number of updates that is being hidden. Stuff like that doesn't make sense to me. I would think the average person who edits the file for the first time (for me not my first time but it's been awhile) sees say 6 updates, they would put a "6" hide dimupdates(6) in the file. easy peasy. Just my 2 cents...
