[10 septembre 2019] Update list GDR pour Windows 7 SP1 x86/x64 (Fr-En-De-Es-It)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

KB2952664-v7 has not been asked by WU on my PCs (real Hardware and VM); installed was version 6.

P.S.: Google Translate says:

"Dans mon PC (matériel réel et VM) ne était pas requise par la version WU 7; a été installé la version 6."

Is it OK ;)?

  :D :D  :crying_anim02: Not really, but it's understandable !!!

No matters if this V7 was asked or not. To my opinion, if a new version has been published, UL should integrate the latest one.

OK, ok..... :dancing:

But now to serious things!

I did some test with the updates from patch day (4-5 times integrated and installed) and found out:

1) KB3004394 seems NOT to be integratable!

After I integrated it together with all the other updates, all has been installed "correctly", but after a search on WU it was NOT possible to install any other KB, no matter which one!

After a new integration without KB3004394 no problems any more!

May be, you can put it together with the other "not integratable"

2) Since today WU is asking for KB3006625 (critical, not optional!); there are only two problems with this update:

a.) It seems not to be integratable

Prerequisites To apply this hotfix, you must be running Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

b.) It is NOT possible to install it on ALL my PCs (real HW and VM), error is 800706F7; I think because I'm NOT in a domain and the update is for machines in a domain.....

Again did Microsoft this month a "beautyful" job.... :ranting:

@Thiersee,

I made a test in x86 configuration, (but forgot to integrate KB3004394) : all is OK ; for IE 11 we need KB2976627 and KB3008923, but not KB3003057.

I'm actually testing x64 UL.

For KB3004394, you can't install any KB after it via WU ?? did you try to install it in RunOnce ?

I didn't encounter any bug with KB3006625 during my test on x86 VM and on real machines x64 and x86 (I don't have any domain configuration).

EDIT : I stopped my test for x64 config, I'll add KB3004394 with Wintoolkit installer.

Im working with x64 only.... I used whole pack from last month and I started installing those 8 manually (in vmware) ....after KB3004394 I couldnt install anything else, so I uninstalled it, rebooted and then rest of them went in smooth.

@Thiersee

You beat me to it! .....something was messing up my new compilation since yesterday.....Im in process to removing KB3004394 and run a test again.

Also, I have found more info about this error ~15 min ago http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/354776-windows-diagnostic-tool-error-0x800706f7.html

I've found the thread too, thanks!

Exactly!

No, I didn't try it.

I didn't encounter any bug with KB3006625 during my test on x86 VM and on real machines x64 and x86 (I don't have any domain configuration)

I'll continue trying it.

I think the most intelligent thing to do is to wait some days before publishing ULs : if there is such a bug with KB3004394, MS will probably remove it. I've placed it in my "quarantine" section of ULs.

Except this KB, x86 UL is validated.

Integration of x64 KBs is very long, I'll have the results of my test tomorrow.

Just double checked my VM all updates integrated w DISM, 2 "non-integratable" updates (KB2533552 & KB971033) failed to install by setupcomplete.cmd so it appears KB3004394 prevented their installation.

To my post #305:

2) Since today WU is asking for KB3006625 (critical, not optional!); there are only two problems with this update:

Forget this point, please!

On my 2 working PCs this request does not appear, probably due to other Updates/programs installed.

If I make a fresh installation with only the updates from the UL (Windows, IE11, RDP) and make then an update-search, KB3006625 appears as "important",

in the same way like SP1 (a small part) if KB2533552 has not been installed.

With a complete installation with all the non integratable updates, driver, programs and so on KB3006625 is NOT requested by WU.

The issue with KB3004394 remains.

M$ has pulled KB3004394 (for Windows 7) from it's servers. Apparently the update for win 7 x64 did not install a catalog file (kinda important detail, no?) User "bird" reported this finding VBox Ticket #13677

https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/13677

From what I can tell, the KB3004394 update does not install a catalog file on 64-bit windows 7. It does on Windows 8.1 (C:\Windows\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}\Package_1_for_KB3004394~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.3.1.0.cat), so VBox works fine there.

The result of the missing .cat file is that VBox (nor SysInternal's SigCheck.exe for that matter) is not able to verify the authenticity of c:\windows\system32\crypt32.dll and wintrust.dll. If we cannot find any valid signature for the files, we have to assume that they have been tampered with and are forced to abort application loading. These two dlls are important for validating other components, so there is absolutely no way we can ignore this.

Until Microsoft fixes the KB3004394 update on Windows 7, the only solution is to revert/uninstall it.

I have uninstalled KB3004394 to be on the safe side but I didn't encountered any issues mentioned (I still use an old version of VirtualBox though) with the update installed.

@tous,

Hi rhahgleuhargh,

First point:

I have a very strange issue with WUD and the ULs 30-11-2014 and 09-12-2014 for both architecture:

I can NOT load the four lists at the same time,  the one overwrites the other!

I explain exactly (I hope):

I load for example both list for the 30-11-2014 and they appear in WUD;

after that I load both lists for the 09-12-2014 and they appear in WUD, but the the others from 30-11-2014 DISAPPEAR!

If I load "crosswise", i.e. x64 from 30-11-2014 and x86 from 09-12-2014 no problem; with older list (11-11-2014 and 18-11-2014) no isssues!

I unpacked all four lists and opened with Notepad++ to compare the contents I read at min 10 times the lists, but I did not find any error.

2nd point (not an error!) KB3006625:

have you read my post #317?

I've just finished an installation (real HW, x64) with all my not integratable KBs and again WU did NOT ask for this update!

If I install with only the update from the UL, WU asks for it.

Edit:

first point: MY FAULT 0045.gif 0062.gif !

@Thiersee,

Since the name of the ULs is the same (except for the date), it seems to be normal that the new one erases the older one. If you want to keep the old list, you have to rename it (ex. TEST-.ul), and place it in the WUD directory (extract .ulz file, don't double-clic on it). Have a look on my screen capture below.

For this month I only added the new urls and deleted the 2 supesesed KBs (IE 11 and Update section, have a look on my previous post for changelog).

For KB3006625 :

I always compare for my tests the results of KBs asked by WU in my real machines (7 ultimate x64 installed in march 2013 starting from mooms update pack, 7 x86 pro installed in march 2014 with my UL, and 7 x86 HP installed in may 2014 using UL) and in my VM created (7 pro x86 and x64) with the UL from the previous month. This KB was asked by WU in all machines. But it's normal because all my work is based on moom's one for a minimalist update list !

What are your "not integrable KBs" ? maybe the answer is here... if some additional KBs are installed KB3006625 could be useless. But if these additional KBs are not in the list, it's because they weren't asked by WU after a fresh installation.

OK,

It's not due to KB2533552, KB2603229, KB2685811, and KB2685813, because they are in the ULs (2 firsts are RunOnce updates, the others are updates for Kernel Mode driver, they are often present in deepclean logs but in fact are not deleted).

KB2506143 is Windows Management Framework 3.0

KB2809215 is a bugfix when Windows Management Framework is uninstalled

KB2809900 is a fix for help of Powershell 3.0

KB2823180 is an update for Windows Management Framework 3.0.

So, the same thematic ! Do you need them for your work ? What's the purpose of this feature ? These updates aren't asked by WU after a fresh installation, even in optional updates (as it's the case for most RDP 8.1 updates).

To my opinion, the features installed by these updates don't need to be fixed by KB3006625 (a domain controller freezes when an event subscriptionmanager list is long), that's why it's not asked when you previously installed the others.
