pennsylvaniaron
I have been behind in the last page(s) of posts and just want to insure that the November rollup does or doesn't affect my silent kb's. I have been creating win 7_64 home premium iso's. For October my silents included: kb 2533552, 2603229, 2685811, 2685813, 3046269, 3177467. I seem to remember that 2685811 &13 (nfw 3.51) updates when trying to integrate them with all the other updates, afterwards they were still being asked for by WU so I put them in the silent section and now no problems. Does the November rollup affect any of my other silent kb's or should any new ones be added? regards...
abbodi1406
No it doesn't 2685811 &13 are Driver Framework updates you don't need 3046269 if you use 3177467 make sure you put 2533552, 3177467 to be installed first (before 2603229, 2685811, 2685813)

Hi abbodi1406, I integrate 3177467 as Silent-SFX and KB3046269 in the WPI-Session: is it still not necessary? Quote make sure you put 2533552, 3177467 to be installed first (before 2603229, 2685811, 2685813) is this necessary too, even if I install them "online" (it mean in a WPI-Session)? abbodi1406
I'm not familiar with WPI KB3046269 is needed only if you integrate offline KB3125574 or kb3172605 but if you want to do that online, then KB3177467 is enough yes, specially online, because both are exclusive updates and require no other pending updates and i think 2685811, 2685813 could trigger the pending status
Thiersee
Hi Abbodi1406, I integrate both KB3172605 and KB3125574 offline and KB3177467 as Silent-SFX in the same session, so it's needed (WU asks for it). Quote yes, specially online, because both are exclusive updates and require no other pending updates and i think 2685811, 2685813 could trigger the pending status OK, I'll change the sequence, even if I didn't have issues (until now). icare

rhahgleuhargh
@Thiersee Same results here, just add KB3108670 as superseeded update in classic VM. I'm testing x64 updated UL with KB3210131 instead of KB3205402. @pennsylvaniaron, I think they are still needed, since they are not removed by deep-clean. I'll make the x86 test without them and report.

Thiersee
@pennsylvaniaron Your .INI would be helpful too! I integrated last week both x86 & x64, HomePremium & Professional, Italian & German: NO problems at all! Thiersee BTW: if IE11 has a black "X" means it has not been installed; KB3207752 contains updates for IE11 and it means it can NOT install the updates for IE11.... Thiersee
Try eventually without the two .REG-Mods Thiersee
pennsylvaniaron
I tried it and the reg mods are not it. been using them for 2 yrs. right now I'm just trying the pre req's and the ie11 and the 3207752 (to avoid waiting for all the updates to install) and keep getting a black x on ie 11. very frustrating. is it ok to do a fast update like that or does ie11 need pre req's of its own? I also downloaded ie11 again from wud. that file hasn't changed so this is a dilemma. do the order of the updates matter? also ie11 should go first before 3207752, correct? any other suggestions? this is what happens when I skip a month of updates. I seem to mess things up, although the method seems straight forward month after month. regards

pennsylvaniaron
Here is what happened. I do not think I included the rdp (4 optional) files when I last made an iso in October. I included them this time for December and it seems that was causing my issue with IE11 (have no idea why). I removed the 4 RDP files and everything went smoothly and according to plan. after installing the dec. iso on VM the only new update (other than MRT and defender def) was 2813347. thanks to all who responded and made the ul list possible again. regards...
