Howdy everyone,

New to Win Toolkit, I have a Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 original setup DVD and just want to integrate all the updates to it, nothing more, no anymore change, no even IE11.

So I have copied the contents of DVD to C:\working\iso

I have copied all 172 .msu offline updates I had to C:\working\updates

And after half hour, I faced error that 169 errors occured and 169 updates was NOT integrated!

I am very newbie to this, can someone help me please?! :)

Are you shure you are using an image of Windows 7 SP1?

Because your image-version is that one from Win7 RTM.

From your log:

Image Version: 6.1.7600.16385

Should be 6.1.7601.17514.

Are you working as admin?

Access is denied.

Thanks dude, please help me a little more:

1. What do you mean by image of Windows 7 SP1? I have downloaded .iso of Win7Pro SP1 x64 from Digital River and extracted the whole contents, so what should I do?

2. Win Toolkit is always run as Admin, so yes it's Admin, something else I am missing? I am also Admin of PC.

Thanks.

When using x86 dism, the Win7 SP1 x64 version is reported as 6.1.7601.17514

but when using x64 dism, the Win7 SP1 x64 is reported as 6.1.7600.16385

the cause of this confusion is when servicing x64 image using x86 dism, Windows\SysWOW64\Dism\DismHost.exe from the image is used (and its version 6.1.7601.17514)

but when servicing it using x64 dism, Windows\System32\Dism\DismHost.exe is used (and its version is 6.1.7600.16385)

:)

May be.

But using DISM (6.3.9600.16384) from Windows 8.1 (Windows Kit\8.1\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\amd64\DISM\dism.exe), and WTK uses this version, seems to be the same.

Just tested using DISM x86 & x64 and the result is the same, it shows in both cases 6.1.7601.17514 for my x64 Win7Pro ISO.
