[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HKLMSoft\3Planesoft\Ancient Castle 3D Screensaver]
"SerNum"="3: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
"RegName"="3: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HKLMSoft = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HKLMDefault = HKEY_Users\.DEFAULT

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HKLMSoft\Classes\ = HKEY_Classes_Root

For example if you want to change...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mozilla\Minefield\3.2a1pre (en-US)\Main]
"Install Directory"="C:\\Program Files\\Minefield"
"PathToExe"="C:\\Program Files\\Minefield\\firefox.exe"
"Program Folder Path"="C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Minefield"
"Start Menu Folder"="Minefield"

In your Minefield.VA addon it would have to be changed to

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HKLMSoft\Wow6432Node\Mozilla\Minefield\3.2a1pre (en-US)\Main]
"Install Directory"="C:\\Program Files\\Minefield"
"PathToExe"="C:\\Program Files\\Minefield\\firefox.exe"
"Program Folder Path"="C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Minefield"
"Start Menu Folder"="Minefield"

it would be easier just to use the replace tool in notepad and change all "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\" to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HKLMSoft\" and etc...

hope that has helped :)

the addon integrator for W7T (which will work for vista) will be alot easier to create addons and eventually include an addon creator tool too :)

when it will be ready??? :dribble:

If you are referring to the 3planesoft screensavers.....

Most all of them are ready as "Vista" addons.....

Legolash2o.......

Will the Win 7 toolkit version be able to integrate addons

that were made for your vista tool????

If not.... I need the win 7 toolkit and some help to make them compatible....

Don't want to release a bunch of stuff for VUT and then have to

re-release it for the win 7 toolkit version......

Thanks....

W7T method will be abit different, but if you have msn add me and ill just send you w7t 0.1.1 so you can test.

[Info]
Name=Mozilla Firefox
Creator=Legolash2o
Version=3.0.6
Arc=x64 or x86
Description=Internet Browser blah blah blah

Also it will accept pure registry exports so you dont have to go change all the HKLM\Software to HKLM\WIM_Software or etc... but the W7T Addon Integrator will work with vista too, which will make it easier for everyone.

UPDATE: Addon Integrator is now almost finished, but i've managed to integrate Firefox 3.0.6 with ease :P

Thanks....

Downloaded.... Started to use it...... Came up with a error.....

This happened when trying to mount the install.wim file using the addon integrator......

226700007_o.jpg

Does the toolkit have to be used inside of vista or windows 7?

This was tried inside of XP......

Also... Does the same addon format still apply.... AKA... the files, Reg.reg, & Tasks.txt?

Thanks again for all your help....

Forgot, to fix that error. It is because Smartwim.dll in the W7T folder is not registered. I have not tested W7T when used on Vista or XP.

Firefox 3.0.6 Addon. Thats the new layout for addons.

.WA = Windows Addon, couldn't think of anything else... oh well lol. The screenshot below was taken straight after Win7 installation had finished, integrator works :P

Testing Alpha 4 now.... Will report back....

One thing.....

I noticed in your firefox addon....

Name=Mozilla Firefox
Creator=Legolash2o
Version=3.0.6
Arc=x86
Description=Open Source internet browser.

[CopyFolder]
Mozilla Firefox::Program Files
[CopyFile]
Mozilla Firefox.lnk::Users\Public\Desktop
Mozilla Firefox.lnk::ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

So if i was going to install files to system32... Would it look like this:

Name=My Addon
Creator=*Reaper*
Version=1.0.0
Arc=x86
Description=My addon.

[CopyFile]
My program.exe::Windows\System32
My other.exe::Windows\System32

Thanks for all the help and a great tool...

No go......

I can get the files into the correct place with no issues....

Problem is the reg settings.....

After integrating....

I'll load the registry hive and go to the WIM_Software key....

No reg info for the addon is in it.....???

So I must be missing something....... :crying_anim02:

Thanks for the help so far.... :thumbsup_anim:

I've got a few more....

Just let me know if there are any problems....

I would assume that if we are going to post

releases we should do it in the Win 7 forum....

Maybe a subforum for Windows 7 AddOns?

Thanks again for all you help and work on this project....

I've test your other addon SafeErase, and have made it possible for that to work too, i think you would of had an error when you tried to integrate it? (been fixed anyway in next release).

I'm sure you already know this, but if you are planning to release these addons, you will have to remove the serial numbers within the registry entries.

Also with the next version, it will import any .reg files so it does not have to be called "Reg.reg", even multiple registry files.

I've created Win 7 Toolkit subforum under Windows 7 forum. Is that enough or there should be another subforum under Win7 Toolkit subforum?

Thanks N1K :)

Just for reference... What would the error have been?

Oh... Two other things.....

I personally think there should be a subforum in the Win 7 toolkit forum that N1k has made for

just addon releases....

Simply because that way ONLY releases would be in it and all discussions

of the toolkit would be in its on forum, so you wouldn't have to sort through

a bunch of posts to find releases......

Just my 2 cents worth! :thumbsup_anim:

Oh and lego.. PM me your wlm info... Thanks everyone...

Would of been a .NET error me thinks.

Already done, you should see subforum now (Thanks N1K)

Sent you my wlm credentials, although you could of just viewed my wincert profile :P

Got it.... Added.....

LOL.... Must have drank too much last night! :beerchug:
