Problem using RyanVM

Right guys, hopefully one of you bright sparks can help me.

I'm trying to make an unattended installation of Windows XP Professional Dell Reinstallation Disc for the I.T company I work at.

We reinstall XP onto 100's of Dell Computers each week which when combined with searching for drivers, installing Open Office, Avast Pro (Corperate Lisence), Google Chrome and Ccleaner, then updating all post SP3 updates is obviously very time consuming.

So this is is what i've done so far and where i am.....

1) Started off with Dell Reinstallation SP2 Disc

2) Intergrated SP3 with nLite

3) Used RyanVM Intergrator 1.6 to intergrate latest Post-SP3 updates as well as WGA addon

4) Used nLite for Component removal, inserted Dell OEM Preservation key for pre-activation on Dell machines, added company wallpapers, theme, ect

5) Downloaded all Official DriverPacks from Driverpack website as well as a few 3rd Driverpacks from their website.

6) Used DriverPack BASE to intergrate using Method 2, disabled KTD and QSC

7) insert Modified Winntbbu.DL_ for company setup

8) used nLite to Build ISO

Test Machine: Dell Latitude D630

1) Text mode runs perfectly

2) Loads RAID drivers, copies all files without any errors,

3) GUI install starts, no errors, get to about half way through.

4) All of a sudden system restarts, GUI loads with "Setup is Restarting...." and continues to repeat step 3)

I have tried building ISO's from the previous builds and discovered the following:

SP3 + RyanVM Updates + nLite + Driverpack BASE Method 2 - Restarts half way through installation

SP3 + RyanVM Updates + nLited - Restarts half way through installation

SP3 + RyanVM Updated - Restarts half way through installation

SP3 Intergration - Does not Restart, Finishes Installation 100%

So it must be something to do with RyanVM updates. Hopefully somebody can shed some light onto this issue before a I start my diagnostics

P.S - I didn't use the search feature as I am quite nobody would have had the same scenario that I am experiencing. If however somebody has already asked a question regarding this topic, please just post a link. Also if I have posted anything that is not allowed on these forums please just let me know and I will removed it.

Thankyou

no I havn't tried a different disc, however i've made an unattended disc using the dell DVD + nLite removal without RyanVM or DriverPacks and thats works 100%, it's just that nLite doesn't intergrate drivers properly by itself, the updates are:

oh right for two updates it's not really a big deal, i'll try the old one on a test build then grab the new one tomorrow for the final build.

Thanks for all the help Rick, i'll keep ya posted mate

UPDATE: SP3 + user_hidden's New Update Pack = WORKING 100%

Thanks Ricktendo!

I'll Keep updating this thread as I make progress with the Builds!

UPDATE: SP3 + user_hidden's New Update Pack + nLite Component Removal = WORKING 100%

: SP3 + user_hidden's New Update Pack + nLite Component Removal + DriverPack BASE = WORKING 100%

: SP3 + user_hidden's New Update Pack + nLite Component Removal + DriverPack BASE + WINNTBBU.DL_ intergration = WORKING 100%

YAY! Thankyou Rick, I noticed that even after the installation that there are still some windows updates available, most of which are very small so not a big deal, however IE8 seems to take forever to download/install, is there an additional update pack that you know of that silently installs IE8

Also anyone found a working Teamviewer 6 addon thats been tested?
