<p>A brand new Edge browser from Microsoft based on the Chromium engine has finally been released to the public.</p>

<p>The new Edge will gradually be released through Windows Update so Microsoft can gather data and feedback to confirm a good customer experience. If you don&#8217;t want to wait you can get the new Chromium-Edge for Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7, macOS, iOS and Android from <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge?form=MO12GB&;OCID=MO12GB" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">HERE</a>.</p>
<p>Once installed, the new Edge will replace the old Edge browser and migrate settings, favorites, and passwords automatically.</p>
<p>Even though the new Edge browser is working even better than Chrome you might have the need to run it in Internet Explorer mode. With IE mode for Edge, you will get a simplified experience combined with compatibility for legacy websites.</p>
<p>To enable the IE mode for Chromium-Edge do the following:</p>
<p>int the URL bar of the Edge browser type:<br />

<p>Under &#8220;<strong>Enable IE Integration</strong>&#8221; click on the dropdown list and select <strong>IE mode</strong>.</p>

<p>Now, we have to duplicate the Microsoft Edge shortcut on the desktop and edit the Target line by adding the <strong>-ie-mode-test</strong> after the quotation marks, as seen in the image below.</p>

<p>Once done, start the Edge browser and navigate to the desired website. Now, go to Edge settings by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner and selecting &#8220;<strong>Open sites in Internet Explorer Mode</strong>&#8220;. This site will now always be opened in IE mode. You will also be notified that you&#8217;re using the IE mode with a small Internet Explorer icon shown in the taskbar.</p>
