After I have upgraded my Windows 10 Pro 2004 to 20H2 I started having random restarts. As I couldn’t find useful info in the event viewer I have used BlueScreenView software to read dump files that were created during these bugchecks.

As you can see I was receiving PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA with 0x00000050 bug check code. This error can be caused by faulty hardware or device drivers and means that Windows cannot find a file within memory that it expects to find.

Even though I am using the latest motherboard drivers from the manufacturers’ website, I have noticed that Windows Update offered me an update for my Intel chipset. This driver named Intel Chipset Driver was located at Optional Updates with the following message: If you have a specific problem, one of these drivers might help. Otherwise, automatic updates will keep your drivers up to date.

Unfortunately, I did not take a screenshot of this driver, but I have found out it is an old Intel chipset driver with the date from 2016 and it solved my random system restart problem.
