I’ve received the following question:

The user is unable to connect to Windows 7 Pro PC from another Windows 7 Pro PC using remote desktop (RDP).

User is able to see both PCs on the network
Firewall is off on both PCs
RDP is on for the PC that user tries to connect to.
User is entering the name of the workstation pc correctly on the remote desktop
User is entering the username correctly on the remote desktop
The remote access selected is for any O/S type, 2nd radio button (less secure)
User is able to connect to other PCs using this remote desktop connection

The error message is: Another console session in progress (something like that)

Solution:

Open:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools\Remote Desktop Services
Run Remote Desktop Services Manager on the PC where you’re trying to connect and check for Users and Sessions Tab

Right click on the desired session and select ‘Log Off’

Try to connect again using RDP connection.
