<p>Microsoft has introduced a new line of AI-powered laptops called Copilot+PC revealed at an event held at their headquarters. The company claims these are the fastest and smartest PCs ever, offering all-day battery life.</p>

<p>The huge news is that these AI PCs use Qualcomm&#8217;s new Snapdragon X Elite SoC. This is surprising because both Intel and AMD have recently developed their own neural processing units (NPUs). Microsoft says the new AI features are powered by these NPUs, combined with large language models in the cloud and smaller models on the device.</p>
<p>One of the key new features is &#8220;Recall,&#8221; which acts like a photographic memory for your computer. It keeps track of everything you do, such as reading emails, visiting websites, or viewing documents, and allows you to quickly find them again. Users can control how long these memories are stored and can exclude certain sites. It&#8217;s worth mentioning that all data is stored on your PC for security. Other new features include live captions for Windows 11 and AI improvements to Image Creator. Microsoft also announced Arm versions of popular apps like Adobe Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve Studio.</p>
<p>The AI PCs will be produced by Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, and Microsoft’s Surface line. The Qualcomm NPU offers 40-45 TOPS of performance, much more than Intel&#8217;s Meteor Lake and AMD&#8217;s Ryzen. However, there will also be AI PCs with Intel’s Lunar Lake and AMD’s Zen 5 CPUs.</p>
<p>Pre-orders are now open with prices starting at $999, while the laptops will become available on June 18.</p>
