Today we had printer issues with some of our Citrix servers in the XenApp v5.0 farm. Printers were not automatically mapped in Citrix session.

We have discovered that Print Spooler was stopped on those Citrix servers. Once we started the ‘print spooler‘ service the problem wasn’t solved.

We have checked the System Log on one of the problematic Citrix server and we discovered that the Citrix Print Manager Service was stopped also because this service depends on the Print Spooler service.

Once we started the Citrix Print Manager Service, printers were successfully mapped once the user logs off and then logs back on to the Citrix.
