Outlook cannot log on. Verify you are connected to the network.

<p>When configuring a new Microsoft 365 Outlook account we have received the following warning message&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Outlook cannot log on&period; Verify you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name&period; The Microsoft Exchange information service in your profile is missing required information&period; Modify your profile to ensure that you are using the correct Microsoft Exchange information service&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"alignnone wp-image-3905 size-full" title&equals;"Outlook cannot log on&period; Verify you are connected to the network&period;" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;wincert&period;net&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2020&sol;10&sol;outlook-error&period;png" alt&equals;"Outlook cannot log on&period; Verify you are connected to the network&period;" width&equals;"388" height&equals;"197" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This message can be misleading so I&&num;8217&semi;ve decided to write this article and save you some time that you could spend in search of a solution&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>To solve this issue&comma; please check if this user has an Exchange license using Microsoft 365 Admin Portal&period; Once the license has been assigned&comma; restart Outlook and try again&period; You should be able to complete the configuration without errors&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Comments are welcome&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
