  1. Thank you.

    I have a few remarks/questions:

    1. The /ai3 switch still doesn't work properly. It only deleted JRE 8u112 64-bit, and the 32-bit arch remained installed (I use Windows 8.1 64-bit)

    2. When you apply the /ai3 switch, isn't the insaller supposed to delete older versions of Java first, then install the newer ones? For me, it only deleted one arch, then nothing happened. To install I had to use the installer without any switch.

    3. Aren't the switches cumulative, so you can apply 2 or 3 in the same instance? Let's say I want to remove older version of Java and install the newer one, for both arches. So I used /ai3 /ai /ai2. It only installed the 64-bit arch.

EDIT: 4. Why don't you add a first tweak to the installer, to "Silently uninstall any previous version of JAVA before install" ? And make it default, like the other tweaks. I guess nobody wants to have separate versions of JAVA installed together, and it's akward Oracle allowed this to happen.

  2.

The files you linked are for german language (DE).

Here you can download the English version: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Rick, will you update when you have time? Thank you, and I wish you a Happy New Year !

  3.

But, since your removed F&J from the new installer, i guess /y and /ai do the same thing. Am I right?

Thanks for pointing that out, next time I will change /ai to be 100% silent

Did you change the /ai switch? If you plan to update the addon again, please don't forget about the description (/h), because /y and /ai are confusing for the new installer. I guess it shuld look like this:

/y - Passive mode, shows progress bar advancing but requires no user interaction. *All* Runtime packages are installed.
/ai - Quiet mode, no user input required or output shown. *All* Runtime packages are installed.

  4. Yea /ai or hold SHIFT, if you dont want F&J there is also an installer without them

I use the new installer now (thank you for it, because I don't want F&J).

I tried /h, and saw that the list of switches is unchanged. But, since your removed F&J from the new installer, i guess /y and /ai do the same thing. Am I right?

It would be really helpfull (for newcomers especially) if you would include the list of switches in the first post. Thank you.

  5. Thanks for testing guys

I notice the sp2 search engine makes it less slower, do you guys notice any performance increases

Seems to be slower (not by much) than native Windows Search (the one from XP SP3), but I can't compare your addon with Vista SP2 files to the one with XP files, because I don't have the previous version anymore.

  6. @Kelu: by not giving me any feedback you loose in the end...I will not be updating this addon making it final nor adding any Vista sp2 files to it nor any security fixes that may come out in the future (because I dont know if it worked or not)

I'm sory for the delay, but I was very busy with my exams and work, and I didn't manage to reinstall Windows for testing this addon. I promise I will get back to you as soon as I can, because I really appreciate the work of Updatepacks and Addons makers. Maybe there are I few people here, or over RyanVM forum (if you post the addon there) who could help me test it.

Thank you very much for your time and work, and please forgive my lack of response.
