About Me

There are times I don't know why I might do something. Right or wrong it usually comes out good at the end of the day. I learned a little something from the greatest man I have ever known and I have met quite a few. But this man told me 40 some odd years ago that if I wanted to do something do it. Opportunity won't find you. You find the opportunity. With this came a lot of truth. I wanted to learn about electricity I went with him. I wanted to learn automotive mechanics. He started paying me so I could buy my first car a 1962 Chevy II which was later named the Nova. I wanted to learn about bikes. He bought me one. He was a little hurt when I told him it was the wrong kind then he thought I was nuts when I told him what I really wanted. But all in all everything he told me or taught me was always the truth. I guess that is what makes me who I am today, a little nuts but truthful. If you haven't figured it out by now this great man I am talking about is my Father. Very much like him I have this drive to learn.

I wanted to learn how to do wood working, furniture building, carpentry... I bought the books and tools. I had a hobby at the end of the day. After he died I finished high school and went to work. Shortly after I got married. I stayed in the electrical field until the bottom fell out of the economy. But I had my mechanical skills to fall back on. Families have to eat and when there is the will, there is a way. Well the economy got better so I went back to what I wanted to do and what I knew I enjoyed best. I know what it is like to see a family wondering if they were going to have dinner that night or watch their favorite TV Show after a storm knocked over a tree which took out their service. And I know the smiles and thanks I got when I could give them just that. Well through the years things have happened to me that put me on disability. But before that would happen I discovered a new passion, a new hobby, a new way to relax. It was called a Commodore Vic 20. OK so I lost most of those programming Skills I have learned during that period. But I would not have the skills I have today if it wasn't for that oversized keyboard that attached to a TV set with a cassette deck which was used for storage. Yes today I may be disabled but I design and custom build my own computers. I wanted to learn Web Design so I bought MS FrontPage. I wanted to learn graphic art (which is still ongoing) I bought Photoshop & Paint shop Pro. I wanted to learn about web hosting. I downloaded Apachie2Triad and built a server. Through the years I have learned quite a bit from people who walked into and out of my life as wee as people here on the net, but I would never learned a thing if it wasn
