rmanne
I've just downloaded a distribution of windows 8.1 pro, and it provides only an install.esd and not an install.wim. As a result, I can't use this tool to modify my image. Could this feature be added?
bphlpt
In the meantime, you might could use a tool such as this one - WinReducer Wim Converter - to convert the ESD to a WIM that you could then work on with Win Toolkit. Cheers and Regards
StopLooking
@rmanne baiscally windows 8.1 come withe tow Distribution one in ESD format & the other came in regular WIM format , usually I preferred ESD due the minisize , here atool to convert betwen the ESD<>WIM : File: ESD2WIM-WIM2ESD-wimlib.7zMD5: ff1b69777fdf9699214a952aa7b7943cSHA1: 694a430711300c21413c424dad75391d1c493f04Dev-Hostfiles.fm- Based on wimlib-imagex utility created by synchronicity- Works on Windows XP environment and later.- Faster than DISM, specially when converting WIM to ESD (but the resulted install.esd size is slightly bigger). the feauter you asked will be in the next version of wintoolkit (v2) .
