What does RT7LITE let you do? The next W7T update should be released by sunday, don't know how long it going to take me to add all the requested tweaks, shouldn't be that long though. Has anyone tested the Silent Installer tool yet?

before you edited your post didn't you say to TH-TECH to make a list of what he removes? If not im losing it Oh well.

Mand, the default & extended logs are enabled by default. It lists all addons, updates, drivers added to the AIO Integrator and what components are selected during Component Removal. THe logs are kept in the same folder as the W7Tollkit.exe

"Download Addons" was supposed to be their to give someone something to look at during the process but i will change it for when its only on the Addon tab. EDIT: Done. btw... i added that Swap Backspace to Capslock tweak you wanted and some others, going through the rest and takes about 1 min to add each one (simple ones anyway). Oh the the Tweaks Tab on AIO Integrator is completely different. If you hover your mouse over an item, it gives you a description.

It shouldn't auto-unmount wim at all, if you wan't to keep the image mounted... click "Cancel" Rebuild uses Imagex, it exports ALL of the images to another location i.e. install.wim2 then if everything went ok then it will replace the old install.wim If i add the option to rebuild after component removal then it would work the same as the option in AIO Integrator.

The log is kept in the "Log" folder in W7T, it's not stored on the image.

Just like vLite you will have to Rebuild the image, which can be done in WIM Manager Removing some components makes dism remove other files for example... If you remove Inbox Games, then dism also uninstalls Premium Inbox Games and Internet Games automatically. I will add an option to rebuild at the end of Component Removals.

v10 has been released. Fixed a bug when unmounting (asks for each image to save/discard) and you have selected multiple images for a task You are now able to add silent installs. When adding Silent Install and the process starts... Yellow items means the files have sucessfully been copied to the dvd root Green items mean the items have been coppied to the dvd root and added to the registry a.k.a everything worked regarding that app Red = something went wrong W7T runs its own "W7TRunOnce" after install, this is basically a simple screen where you select which apps to install at that time, useful if you use your disk on different computers. Auto-Start = It will just install everything automatically Auto-Close = It will close the program and load desktop after apps are install Both checked = fully unattended. You can select mutliple images, basically it copies the files to the dvd root, then mounts each image and adds the W7TRunOnce then saves, then loads the next image. D:\Apps\Office_2010\setup.exe etc... D:\Apps\AppName\SilentSetup.msi D:\sources\install.wim EDIT: v11 out, fixed a few bugs, was quite a big bug in the W7TRunOnce program which is now fixed. Also fixed a bug in W7T (See a "Loading W7T..." screen)

v8 released with LP removal fix. A lot has changed since v5... v5 just removed folders which contains stuff like ar-SA, bg-BG, da-DK,de-DE, etc... whilst v6+ removed files containing those characters, alot of files... @Mand. The error about PremiumInbox games is because when you removed "Inbox Games" it also removes Internet Games and Premium Games, so when it comes to premium games its already been removed and therefore says it dont exists I have already entered a code which will mean it will not display an error in that scenario for v9.

Are you saying that if you remove language files, nothing else can be removed after? I think i have noticed that

You can after that error, re-open W7T goto WIM Manager and manually unmount + save the image

That's a strange error, because the error mentions the registry but... There is no code which asks for the registry or anything to do with the registry when that form is closing. Open regedit HKey Local Machine, is here any random keys (folders) in there which wouldn't be. Check before closing the component remover. I will check everything when I get home from work, but an idea of what it is has just popped up in my head. Check back around 9PM BST (UK) time 2nite EDIT: I have remember how I did it, what an idiot (me). I will fix it straight away when I get home LOL.

W7T Size I want the .exe itself to be smaller it is currently 2.6MB! I am aiming for it to be less and 2MB but this will be the toughest task. STARTUP Although W7T only loads up in 2 seconds (on my computer anyway), i want it to be even faster and so therefore aiming for 1 Second! BUG FIXES As usual please report bug fixes and they will be fixed. Unattended The Unattended Tool is quite crap and basic to put it bluntly and will be looking to completely revamp it. Built-in Tools If you think a tool in the Tools Manager should be removed, let me know. F.A.Q Question: What should you expect to see in W7T? Efficiency, ALL of the code will be looked at and obsolete code will be deleted, completely!Smaller .exe size, W7T is currently 2.6MB so i will be working to make it as small as possible.Faster, some tasks like adding updates in the MSU to CAB Converter can take some time and i will be making that sort of process faster. Overall you can expect a cleaner, smaller, faster and even less resource intensive application. All the code will be updated, old code will be removed. GUI will be more consistent, for example while adding updates in one tool displays it progress (Adding 1 of xxx), some others tools don't so i will be updating them to show that info. I believe in preparing for future ideas, and it helps to have clean, tidy and organised code to do that and it also helps to get rid of the old crap which is no longer needed. I will be adding "Default Logging" and "Extensive Logging". Default: Just basic information about what's been done, etc..Extensive: Will show alot more i.e. If a command runs, and will show reasons why things failed. Works fine for me too, i'll check the code anyway... It uses the code mentioned by Mand. It may be a specific update, i'll be on msn ricktendo.

The latest alpha lets you run it on XP and Vista BUT and this is a BIG BUT..... You have to have DISM & Imagex in the correct place for it to work. (Pretty much the same place as Win7. Wimgapi.dll in System32 folder Dism.exe in System32 folder DISM folder in System32 folder etc...
