Try dragging a file on your desktop while holding the CTRL key. With a standard MS cursor (1 bit alpha channel) you'll see the [+] indicator showing that you are making a copy of the file. With a vista cursor that has an alpha channel with more bit depth it won't appear. You can edit OLE32.DLL to make the indicators work in some circumstances (firefox, wmp, & others) but it doesn't fix it completely. Remember that using cursors with an alpha channel in WinXP will cause the Shortcut / Copy indicators to no longer appear when dragging a file and holding CTRL, CTRL + Shift, etc.
