  1. Indeed, SoLoR found a new provider two days ago: http://hotfixrepo.geeksmack.net/
  2. IE9 Release Candidate should be released for public testing around early february, with RTM expected around early march. All in all: very soon now.
  3. I have never stated IE9 had anything to do with SP1 but as ricktendo64 wrote, MS has always implied (search for past articles on the subject) that they wanted to make a double release, even if both developments were separate. It is just marketing stuff related to IE9, in order for customers to get both updates/upgrades. The point now is, because of the leaked final SP1 assembly, MS are wondering whether they should release SP1 some time before IE9, which is unlikely in the end (internal sources at MS). Sometimes, things do not go according to plan... As I wrote you are free to try, I am not trying to convince anyone of anything, only relating facts... Regards,
  4. No, the official SP1 release will not happen until IE9 has gone Gold within MS, which is due in late february... As a reminder, IE9 has not even been compiled as a Release Candidate, only an official Beta (now quite outdated) and some Technical Previews. IE9 RC is planned for early february with the RTM out around early march (late february at best). It all comes down to saying that if any wants to wait for the official Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 SP1 release before applying it, you will have to wait for a few weeks more, which would be too bad not to do so (but anyone remains free to do whatever he wants to so...) Even if more than sixty KB patches/updates have been released since Nov. 19, '7601.17514.101119-1850' is the final SP1 assembly. You are all free to give it a try for yourself and welcome to give your feedback on it. :icon_cool:
