this one has a better chance of working with the RC2
dude-uk confirmed this does work with SP3 RC2 build 3282
-
havent tried it yet. if the kernels havent been updated, it should be fine. if they have been changed, it wont work.

I'm having issues running xcopy cmds. its working when i copy files or folders to Program Files, but not when i copy to Desktop. I'm getting a success msg, but no files are copied to the desktop. heres an example:
prog[pn]=['Keygens and Cracks'];
uid[pn]=['KEYGENSANDCRACKS'];
dflt[pn]=['no'];
cat[pn]=['Other'];
forc[pn]=['yes'];
cmd1[pn]=['xcopy "%CDROM%\\Install\\Keygens and Cracks" "C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Desktop\\" /i'];
pn++;any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

Here's the blue task manager for SP3 RC1 3264. Orignally created by lsdmeasap, AddOn by ricktendo64. All I did was tweak it to work with SP3.
Has been tested with nLite and RVM Integrator. Thanks to PeaNut for testing!

just sent you the link. should work with RVM integrator as well....

This one worked for me only after using the latest (v1.3f) SFC_OS patch with XP x86 SP3 RC1 b3264. Works flawlessly! Thanks for the add-on!
For those with SP3 RC1 b3264, use this patch with RVM integrator for this bootscreen to work properly (Posted by Zacam on RyanVM forums):

thanks peanut, i hadnt tested with RVM integrator. good to know about the sfc patch.
i also just did a blue task manager for SP3 RC1 3264, if anyones interested...

urgh nevermind lol.u dont get it.
i apologize, bober, you were right. i had rick take a look and, although the previous version worked fine, the KB940322 entrys were not needed. i was a little confused by what you meant, but thanks for bringing it to my attention.

bootscreen replacement addons work if:
1) you integrate it LAST, and in a separate nlite session
2) you disable system file protection and manually replace the files
keep in mind that any windows updates involving these files will cause the bootscreen to revert back to normal. also, this addon is NOT for 64-bit.
yeah, you always want to disable SFC when using modded files, but you shouldnt have to manually replace the files. also i have never had any problems integrating at any point, and with other addons. i'd also like to point out, that this intended for SP3 RC1 3264 users....

realy its quite simple,the files are registered as KB940322 , but they are infact newer and are part from an other KB.and like i said, the way i explain would be the PROPER way of doing things.i dont want to hurt anyone by explaining this.sorry if ure offended.
EDIT: and ithink WU will prolly detect that the KB hotfix concerning these files isint installed on the system,thus prolly makign the user re-dl the hotfix and replacing the mod'ed files by originals.
but remember that i said this addon had problems,never said it wouldint work on first try.
sorry mate, windows update ISNT complaining about KB940322. it works fine. i suggest that in the future, you TEST an addon before you post complaints of "problems", and "not passing windows update".

i'll test that theroy, but it never happened with rick's

what makes you think these are x64 files?
and i wouldint try this on an x64 system..lol just comon logic.
ok and thers problems with this addon, ure adding KB940322 's cat info and reg entries instead of
SP3 RC1 3264...u might want to change this, shouldint be that hard.....not evrything cant be copyed over and concidred a clean way to install(update) a new hotfix from an older one.
could you be more clear? i'm not seeing the problem. rick's addon wasnt working with the sp3 kernels. this works perfectly for sp3 rc 3264....
-
like i said, just used Rick's method of install. do you think it would interfere with other hotfixes? please dont refer to it as a "problem", its not, the addon works fine.
-
i would assume that x64 uses different kernels, but give it a shot...
-
ok....looks just like rest of em....
-
I used Neo's .res, and Rick's installation on the SP3 RC1 3264 kernels.

"This one is on time. It has the latest in SFC fixup technologies

-
wow looks good. i'm using sp2. i'd like to have a ntoskrnl and a ntkrnlmp, if its not too much trouble. what prog are you using?
