  1. I just noticed that this happens before the VMWare Tools is even installed, so I guess the first driver used is already there.
  2. I install VMWare Tools but no other drivers or anything alike could that be it?
  3. I have set on my XML file this option: <NetworkLocation>Home</NetworkLocation>Which I believed was to prevent this window from coming up: However as you can see the window keeps coming up every time I install my ISO. Is there a way to preset either register or some other command on the XML I may have missed to prevent it from further asking me what my network is? Here is my full XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><unattend xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:unattend"> <settings pass="windowsPE"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <DiskConfiguration> <WillShowUI>OnError</WillShowUI> <Disk wcm:action="add"> <DiskID>0</DiskID> <WillWipeDisk>true</WillWipeDisk> <CreatePartitions> <CreatePartition> <Order>1</Order> <Type>Primary</Type> <Size>100</Size> </CreatePartition> <CreatePartition> <Order>2</Order> <Type>Primary</Type> <Extend>true</Extend> </CreatePartition> </CreatePartitions> <ModifyPartitions> <ModifyPartition wcm:action="add"> <Active>true</Active> <Format>NTFS</Format> <Label>system</Label> <Order>1</Order> <PartitionID>1</PartitionID> </ModifyPartition> <ModifyPartition wcm:action="add"> <Format>NTFS</Format> <Label>Main</Label> <Letter>C</Letter> <Order>2</Order> <PartitionID>2</PartitionID> </ModifyPartition> </ModifyPartitions> </Disk> </DiskConfiguration> <Display> <ColorDepth>32</ColorDepth> <HorizontalResolution>800</HorizontalResolution> <RefreshRate>60</RefreshRate> <VerticalResolution>600</VerticalResolution> </Display> <DynamicUpdate> <Enable>false</Enable> </DynamicUpdate> <UserData> <AcceptEula>true</AcceptEula> </UserData> <ImageInstall> <OSImage> <InstallFrom> <MetaData wcm:action="add"> <Key>/IMAGE/INDEX</Key> <Value>1</Value> </MetaData> </InstallFrom> <InstallTo> <DiskID>0</DiskID> <PartitionID>2</PartitionID> </InstallTo> </OSImage> </ImageInstall> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-International-Core-WinPE" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <SetupUILanguage> <UILanguage>en-US</UILanguage> </SetupUILanguage> <InputLocale>0416:00000416</InputLocale> <SystemLocale>en-US</SystemLocale> <UILanguage>en-US</UILanguage> <UILanguageFallback>en-US</UILanguageFallback> <UserLocale>en-US</UserLocale> </component> </settings> <settings pass="specialize"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-UnattendedJoin" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <Identification> <JoinWorkgroup>Workgroup</JoinWorkgroup> </Identification> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-International-Core" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <InputLocale>0416:00000416</InputLocale> <SystemLocale>en-US</SystemLocale> <UILanguage>en-US</UILanguage> <UILanguageFallback>en-US</UILanguageFallback> <UserLocale>en-US</UserLocale> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <AutoLogon> <Password> <Value>UABhAHMAcwB3AG8AcgBkAA==</Value> <PlainText>false</PlainText> </Password> <Enabled>true</Enabled> <Username>Administrator</Username> </AutoLogon> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Security-Licensing-SLC-UX" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <SkipAutoActivation>true</SkipAutoActivation> </component> </settings> <settings pass="oobeSystem"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <OOBE> <HideEULAPage>true</HideEULAPage> <ProtectYourPC>3</ProtectYourPC> <NetworkLocation>Home</NetworkLocation> <SkipMachineOOBE>true</SkipMachineOOBE> <SkipUserOOBE>true</SkipUserOOBE> </OOBE> </component> </settings></unattend>Its a single OS ISO x86.
  4. ianymaty thanks for the info was not aware of that facebook it lists there there is a ini file with what he removed using vlite I will check it out. There is also a very big list of what he seem to have done.
  5. That's not true, there is a windows 7 called windows tiny 7(not sure if its a wintoolkit made or what) which is around 2GB installed (the ISO is 700MB) and it works just fine unhappily I don't have a copy of it but I've seen it working. I don't need most of the programs that comes with windows or drivers and the only stuff I will really need which I would add to it are dot net 4.5.2 and some vc++ runtimes and internet access. But from what I've seen with WTK alone I can't make it smaller so if you guys could point on way of what I need in other to achieve that I would appreciate.
  6. Hi, I've been trying out WinToolKit and even when I select to remove literally everything but the red marked options I am still left out with a 6GB + OS, is it possible to slim down a windows 7 ultimate using WTK alone to around 3GB or less? I need it down to this much because I have to install it on multiple VM's with 10GB HD and from those 10G it will eat 6GB for the applications it will run and I am accounting 1GB free just in case so basically: 6GB app 3GB OS 1GB free There no paging on it either.
